Britney Spears WILL Hit The Road, Tour Is A Go!

Crisis Averted
February 3rd, 2009

Yesterday we learned the upsetting news that Britney Spears was on the verge of canceling her upcoming tour The Circus starring Britney Spears after negotiations with her ex-husband Kevin Federline fell apart and it was uncertain if her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James would be allowed to go on tour with her. Once K-Fed’s lawyers caught wind of the talks, they stepped in and threatened to disallow Britney’s request to let her sons go on the road with her … resulting in the threat that the whole tour could be called off. Today her official website, BritneySpears.com, has been updated with the good news that an agreement has been reached and her sons will be going on with with her:

The news comes at the end of a post that explains the way the performance stage will be set up for her tour, here is the full text of the entire post:

Britney’s Circus Plans Revealed:

Stage design plans are in for Virgin Mobile Presents the Circus Starring Britney Spears. And they prove that this isn’t going to be like any circus, or concert, you’ve seen before. According to tour designer Jamie King, “Britney and I are really excited to conceptualize her Circus tour. We’ve taken the idea of a traditional ‘big-top circus’ and given it a Britney Spears twist. This circus is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. It’s sexy, fun, explosive, and full of surprises. We wanted the stage to resemble the design of a three-ring circus where multiple acts can take place simultaneously.

While avoiding such traditional circus elements as live animals, we’ve created something innovative and exciting using contortionists, dancers, lighting, fire and other special effects. In the end, we just want fans to experience a unique and thrilling concert with Britney.” Britney is so excited to kick off her tour. She has been enjoying every moment of rehearsals and is looking forward to performing in front of a live audience again. Both Sean Preston and Jayden James will, in fact, be joining Britney throughout the duration of her tour. The Circus kicks off in New Orleans on March 3rd.

This is really great news, I had a feeling a deal would be struck … as I mentioned yesterday, money talks. My guess is that the sweet deal K-Fed was offered yesterday by Britney and her father/conservator Jamie Spears got a bit sweeter after his lawyers go into the mix. Britney has always been willing to pay a premium for her children … I am just *thrilled* that the tour is officially out of jeopardy. The Circus starring Britney Spears will kick off in New Orleans, LA — as scheduled — exactly one month from today! Woot!!

Why didn’t you post the picture of the stage?

  2. bethable Says:

Hey Trent – you may want to change that to “hit the road with her” not “hit the orad iwth her” on the pic. Good news for Britney fans!

  3. Laura Says:

The stage looks amazing! I am so excited.

  4. Mr. Gyllenhaal Says:

K-fed is ridic. It is so sad she has to pay him to take her kids with her. What a mooch and SOB. I can’t stand that guy!

  5. Brown Loose Says:

Yeah, Trent, show people stage pictures, please. I know they may be pretty small now, but still :)

  6. Monique Says:

oh, thank god. i would have flipped shits if k-fed got in the way of me seeing her live. WHEW!

  7. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

@Brown Loose — I added one, hopefully larger size images will be available soon :)

  8. nicole Says:

@ Mr. G – it’s more K-feds lawyers. he already had made arrangements with her be for the lawyers stepped in.

  9. Sara Says:

I’m glad it’s happening still! I wish I could go, but I can’t afford it, so I hope they do a TV special and release it on DVD. I think it’s retarded she has to pay to spend time with her kids, but I’m glad she can since apparently it’s the only way to win over K-Fed’s lawyers. Since her father will be around all the time and she will be commuting to the kids, hopefully they will at least have routine if not one stable home. At least these kids have people who do love them, there are many kids in this country who are much less privileged.

thank God cuz i have tix!!
k-fed is just trash, that’s all. i know he already made arrangements beofreh is lawyers stepped in but why didn’t he tell them to butt out!!

I am really happy that she is getting back on the right track. We all make mistakes as we grow and learn. I am glad that she is able to move on and turn over this new leaf.

I am so excited! I am seeing her in Vegas. I thought she was worth the trip :)

  14. PinkIsTheBestBlog Says:

…BUT WILL BRITNEY ACTUALLY SING PROPERLY LIVE?!
I would never pay to watch her shows, because her voice sucks and last time she performed “live” she was lip-synching while dancing. It was a total joke.

  15. QT Says:

PinkIsTheBestBlog You are a stupid toolbag!! If she was lipping than it wasn’t live fool!! The last time she was live it was great. I paid to see her DWAD tour & it was worth EVERY DIME!. She entertained the whole time & that’s what counts. Don’t knock her show until you’ve actually been there.

  16. Beth Says:

@QT – i’m pretty sure PinkIsTheBestBlog knows that it wasn’t live if she’s lip-synching – hence the quotation marks. Reading comrehension, d-. Now, who’s the fool?

  17. Angie Says:

Ya know… there’s lots of speculation about whether Britney can or can’t sing… She sure could when she was a kid and starting out, and it sounded pretty ratched just before she took her two year break… so it maybe repaired itself or not.

I say, so what if she can still sing? You don’t go to a Britney concert to hear live singing, you go for the show, the spectacle! The dancing, the sets and the fun. She’s a great entertainer with amazing, unstoppable star power- that’s not debatable. I’m going, and I’m going to have a great time whether she sings or lip-syncs.
