Ruh roh! Big trubs in Britney Spearsland today … TMZ is reporting that Britney Spears is threatening to cancel her upcoming concert tour The Circus starring Britney Spears if her ex-husband Kevin Federline does not allow her to bring her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, on tour with her. According to TMZ, private negotiations between Britney, her father/conservator Jamie Spears and K-Fed fell apart after his lawyers caught wind of the talks and stepped in to muck everything up. If an agreement to allow her sons to tour with her is not reached, Britney vows (reportedly) to call off her entire tour:
Britney Spears will cancel her upcoming tour if K-Fed’s lawyers continue to block an agreement allowing her to take the kids on the road — informed sources tell [TMZ] … For weeks, Britney, K-Fed and Jamie Spears have been privately hashing out a plan to let the kids travel with Brit while she goes on tour. The plan is to have homes in three bases — New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Sean Preston and Jayden James would stay in one of these three bases and mom would commute back and forth while doing concerts in each region … We’ve learned Britney will pay Kevin in excess of $4,000 a week for each week she’s on tour. The way the deal goes… Brit would get K-Fed his own pad in each of the three bases and he wouldn’t even have to show up to get the money! … Britney, K-Fed and Jamie worked out the arrangement without the help of any of the lawyers. We’re told a week ago K-Fed’s lawyers became aware of the plan and were furious, thinking Jamie went behind their backs. Sources tell us K-Fed’s lawyers have said they object to the plan but won’t specifically say why. And Kevin apparently doesn’t have the cojones to stand up to his lawyers. Britney WILL cancel the tour if she can’t take her kids… we know that for a fact. By the way, Britney now has close to 50/50 custody and the trio has also worked out a long-term agreement, which would extend the arrangement. That too, could be compromised.
AHHHHH! If Britney cancels her tour, for whatever reason, I will go seriously ballistic. To be honest, this is the exact reason I didn’t want to get to excited about a tour when the reports first started to come out about her possibly going on tour. I had a feeling that K-Fed might throw a wrench into plans for her to see her children while she is on the road, jeopardizing the entire enterprise before it even got underway. It’s very clear that Britney needs and wants to be with her children as much as possible, I suspect that quality time has much to do with her successful rehabilitation … for her to be parted from them for so long prolly seems incomprehensible to her at this point. In the end, money talks and I suspect that K-Fed will end up getting a big pay day to allow Britney to see her children. I hope and pray this tour happens … for pretty much everyone’s sanity.

Hmm…maybe he thinks that being on the road with Britney isn’t a good idea.
As much as I love Brit, I really don’t think she should be able to take the kids. She may seem stable and normal now, but she’s going on a very stressful, busy tour. She will need her free time to focus on her health and sanity… I think they should stay with Kfed.
I certainly hope they release a statement soon too because it doesn’t sound like we’re hearing the whole/real story.

So it’s not okay for the boys to go without Britney for the duration of the tour, but it’s okay for them to go without Kevin (the only stable figure they’ve known) for that long? It’s annoying to see Britney fans automatically trash Kevin. The story itself said that he was in talks with them to work out a plan, it was his LAWYERS that threw the wrench. Not him. It is really not ideal for kids to be on a tour – between performing for hours at night, rehearsals, etc… how much time would she actually be able to devote to them? Especially given everything that they’ve been through, those kids need stability. Period. The plan they had worked out seemed logical enough. Let’s just hope the lawyers see that.
The bottom line is that Britney shouldn’t be touring PERIOD. It’s only been one year since her massive breakdown, yet people are already acting like that never happened, let’s get back to business and make that money. Her parents are awful! If Britney REALLY cared about her kids, she would step away from this show business crap and live her life privately and keep her sons as far away from it all as possible. Britney cares about BRITNEY; Jamie cares about JAMIE’S ALLOWANCE; Lynn cares about LYNN’S INCOME. How much money do these people NEED? They’re earning it at the expense of these children, but that shouldn’t be a surprise, given that Brit’s parents had no problem at all making her the breadwinner at age 12. It’s so disgusting!
OH NO! I just hope this whole thing is not true. If it is you know Britney will pay Kevin anything he wants to have her children with her. It is really awful that he would even put her in this position!
This is insane. It seems like she has attempted to accomadate everyone in the situation including K-Fed and still she is unable to see her kids. I am not going to worry because in the end money does talk and we all know that K-Fed loves $$$.
Put her in this position?? She shouldn’t be allowed to take her f***ing kids anywhere! Children at that age need stability. If Britney was serious about her “successful rehabilitation” she would stop performing. PERIOD.
What I am saying is if they agreed upon something and now his lawyer is involved and the agreement has now changed that is not right. There are plenty of celebrity children who travel with their parents, are you saying all the other celebrity children are not stable? If they do not see their mother that is also not stable.
I’m saying the kids who have a stable childhood (i.e. grew up in one or two neighborhoods – with a family vacation here and there) are waaaaaaaay more likely to adhere to societal norms. American culture is based around the idea of a non-mobile childhood. That’s why the term “Military brat” ends with “brat”. It implies disapproval in a society where a highly mobile childhood is looked down upon.
i can’t imagine not having my son, let alone sharing custody and then being on the road and not being allowed to see him! i gotta say i side with britney on this one.. it’s not like she’s headed overseas. this is her job, how she makes her money. she doesn’t have a normal 9-5 so she should get a little flexibility from k-fed!!!
She has worked so hard to get her life back on track and to get into shape again….if she cancels this tour…..I am pretty sure she can kiss her hard-earned “comeback” goodbye!!! Bad move Brit!

I don’t understand the obsession with Britney and never will. She can’t sing well. She has fun pop songs but she is a joke and always will be. Stars like her and A Jolie get their kids but if you are not famous, you have to fight. Angie had a well known knive obsession and Brit had a breakdown in public view. It’s sad that most normal women who are not rich and famous would lose their kids for that. But about the post, no Mom can go on a tour without her kids! That would be painful.
his lawyers will leeeeech for lots more money…I think its more stable kevin and britney going on the road where the kids will have both mum and dad for the months that she is working..

i couldnt have said it better then the first 3 posts. they pretty much summed up my whole thought on this issue.
soo everyone bashing Brit here. you need to know the facts. They are in negotiation for her boys to stay at 1 of 4 of her homes during her tour. She will commute to see them on her down time. They have also said that they will get Kfed an apartment in each city where her homes are so that he can be with the kids as well. he may have been the stable person in their lives while she fell apart. but I don’t care what you say a child needs their mother. and their father.
If she left the kids with Kfed and went on tour the haters would say that she “abandoned her kids” She can never win. As far as stability, they can still travel around and have stability in their day to day lives. Many celebs from Madonna to Gwen Staffani to the Spice Girls have done so in the past.
This just shows that she really doesn’t care that much about her fans.
