Brangelina & Kids See ‘The Little Mermaid’ On Broadway
Fresh from their double Oscar loss last Sunday night at the 81st Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, CA, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt surfaced with 4 of their 6 children in tow at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in NYC last night where the Brangelina brood were spotted making a hasty exit from a performance of The Little Mermaid on Broadway. Here are a few photos of Ange, Brad, Maddox Chivan, Zahara Marley, Pax Thien and Shiloh Nouvel as they made their way out of the theater last night:
It was family night at the theater in New York City for the Jolie-Pitts. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their children to see a Wednesday evening showing of The Little Mermaid on Broadway … Pitt carried daughter Shiloh, 2, and held the hand of son Pax, 5, who sipped on a drink as he exited the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Jolie held daughter Zahara, 3, while Maddox, 7, followed close behind. Missing: Their newborn twins, Knox and Vivienne. Jolie — who just returned from Hollywood for the Oscars with Pitt — is in the Big Apple as she prepares to shoot the espionage thriller, Salt. After she wraps up filming, Jolie has said she plans to take a break from acting to focus on being a mother. “I like being home a lot,” the mother of six has said. “First and foremost, I have a lot of children, and I need to make sure they’re growing right and they’ve got us there for them.”
LOL! Angelina has been giving that line about “taking a break from acting to be a mother” for years now … I doubt she ever will really take a break. Tho, I’m sure her demoralizing loss of so many acting awards this past awards season is enough to sour her to the craft for some time to come. Ah well, she’s a mega-millionaire who is coupled up with a mega-millionaire with a beautiful (and growing?) family of children … it’s kinda hard to feel too sorry for her. In any event, I imagine it was quite a treat for the theater-goers at the Lunt-Fontanne to see the Brangelina brood file in for last night’s performance. I think it would be really fun to share your popcorn with Princess Zahara. I’ve yet to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway myself but a show that is so well-attended by so many celebrity children (I understand Suri Holmes-Cruise is a fan as well) sounds must see to me!

Trent, I love you, but I sincerely doubt Angelina is demoralized by losing out on awards. She was good in The Changeling, but there was a lot of awesome competition this year, and I think it’s great that there have been so many well-written parts for women lately. Besides, Angelina has an Oscar and three Golden Globes as well as a slew of other trophies; she’s not really hurting for awards. She’s only 32; she’ll win more. In other news, I can’t wait until Zahara gets her first tattoo! You know she’s going to be AWESOME.

Angelina DID take time off.
She has not worked since November of 2007! That is a year and a half off. She has been saying in interviews that she will do “Salt” then take some more time off. She did not make a big retirement announcement.

They move around because movies are shot in different cities, not for fun. Do you expect Angelina to film in New York for a couple of months and not see her kids or Brad?? That is ridiculous.

Angelina already has an Oscar, Three golden globes and Two Sags. I think at this point in her life she realizes family is more important.
And what about all the other actors that were nominated for many awards and didn’t win anything?Frank Langella or Robert downey jr or Amy Adams for example….They didn’t win any big awards yet no blogs go around calling them big losers.

The Little Mermaid was a very cute show. I got to see it 2 weeks ago and def recommend it for kids. The guy who plays Erik is adorable. ;)

Yes! That’s the second time I’ve seen Pax wearing Liverpool Football Club apparel and since our main rivals are David Beckhams old club Manchester United, I can see a Pax/Romeo smackdown in years to come!

I was reading all the comments here, and I could not agree more with Aidan , … , and Em.
But I do not understand why ,Trent, is there that much aggressiveness and harshness is your comments towards Angelina. It really is an unexplained , repetitive biased thinking. And I do not like it :)

I think that they are all happy the way they are, I don’t think that they feel they are not blessed or feel unfortunate because they lost an award, would be selfish on their part. They have 6 beautiful, healthy kids and they adore each other, you can see it in the way they look at each other it is soooo cute to see them together.
Shi is soo daddy’s little girl hahahah they are going to be inseparable.

LOL. My sister goes to LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in NYC and she saw Brad by himself strolling down a block lookin’ fine as ever.
