Yesterday was a very nice day here in SoCal … despite the drizzly rain, the weather was very temperate and the sun managed to come out for a large portion of the day … which meant that LA got to enjoy a couple of rainbows. David and I went to the Beverly Center so that we could find him something to wear to the Grammy Awards today. His stuff from NYC still hasn’t arrived so none of his really nice clothes are here yet … any excuse to shop is a good one, yes? After we found him an outfit and ate at PF Chang’s (which, I don’t care what anyone says, is an amazing restaurant) we paid a little visit to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick up a few essentials … on the way out of the store we came upon this display:

LOL! Yep, David and I now have a matching set of Snuggies to wear when we are lounging on the couch. Photos to come, I’m sure ;) We also picked up a box of ShamWow towels … it was a good day for As Seen on TV shopping :)
This evening, David and I are heading out to the Grammy Awards — courtesy of our friends at Absolut Vodka — and we are both very excited. I was lucky enough to attend the Grammys back in 2006 but this will be David’s first time. I’m sure we’re gonna have a blast … I’ll do my best to Twitter the night’s events for those of you interested and, of course, I’ll have the full wrap-up tomorrow ;)

This “Snuggie” and “ShamWow” craz has got to stop. lol Apparently someone (in the crowd) had on a Snuggie at Barack Obama’s inauguration. I dont believe it. lol
haha i love it. Does the shamwow live up to the hype?? btw..this is the best parody i’ve seen. Trent may have already posted it, I can’t remember how I first saw it.

Snuggie’s are cool but they are actually a knock off of the better quality “Slanket.” They are more expensive, but they are thicker and last forever, unlike the flimsy Snuggies( There is a reason you get two of them with booklights for $19.99!). You don’t even realize what you have been missing until you get one!
they are robes backwards!!
lol, rebecca, my thoughts exactly, what a scam!
The commercials really make me want to buy a snuggie, but really, isn’t just a bathrobe you can wear baskwards?
Still kind of want one though…
Haha thats great that you bought matching snuggies! I would be totally lying if I said I didn’t want one lol!
Hilarious!!
the snuggie makes you look like a monk.
i’m sure it’s comfortable and all, but it’s a little ridiculous in my opinion.
What I really hate about the Snuggies is that they are one size fits all and I’m tiny so I can’t even walk around with it on and isn’t that the whole point of it? and they are SUPER thin.
I agree with Rebecca too. I mean just buy a robe and it’s like a 2 in 1. You get a robe AND a snuggie/slanket.
This honestly looks like some crap you’d buy in magnamail, like the hands-free umbrella.
BTW, i have a fleece blanket WITHOUT sleeves. I got it from Briscoes for $6 (about $3 USD) and I swear it was the best $6 I’ve ever spent. I look like blanket man shuffling around the flat with it, but its so good!
Okay- Is Shamwow a “Wow” or a “Sham”? Seriously. Trent, you’re the final word.

@moi
a hands-free umbrella? i’m intrigued…
@ Kelly – It sort of hooked under your armpit or something haha
The Snuggie is too cool, but I always feel like I could make it myself, yanno?
Please do report on the ShamWoW! and its usefulness or lack of usefulness.
Haha….. wats the matter with just a normal blanket???? I saw an episode of Ellen recently where she was making fun of this product – looks just ridiculous
The only reason I would ever wear a Snuggie is to sit on the toilet at 2 am in the middle of winter… With the lights off!!!
On my way to BB&B tonight…..had no idea they carried the Shamwow.
