4 Friends + ‘Coraline’ In 3D = 2 Much Fun For 1 Night

The TV Guide
February 19th, 2009

Last night I met up with my friends Kirsten, Amber and Adam for a fun night at the movies so that we could all see Coraline in 3D. I was able to see the movie on opening night but neither Kiki, Amber or Adam had been able to see the film just yet so I INSISTED that we all go and see it before it is no longer available to be seen in 3D. Here is a fun, yet dark pic of the four of us with our fun 3D glasses on:

The movie was just as much fun as the first time I saw it and I really must implore YOU ALL to see this film in 3D while you still can. Once the Jonas Bros. movie opens in theaters, Coraline will no longer be shown in 3D … trust me, this is one film you cannot miss seeing in 3D.

Oh, and I suppose I should expect some good-natured ribbing for the Michael Jackson-esque Diesel jacket I wore last night … especially in light of the Kanye West post I published earlier today ;) Trust me, my jacket looks much flier in person :) Flame on!!

Tonight, David and I are going to a screening in Santa Monica and then we’re meeting up with my friend Mike for drinks afterward. I am very happy to report that the sun has returned to SoCal … and it is glorious! I need to get out there and soak it up.

PS: I have to give a HUGE shout-out of LOVE to my old HP laptop which I abandoned about a year and a half ago when I purchased a shiny new Sony VAIO … because my Sony got effed up really bad last night (making it unusable) I’ve had to resort to using my old laptop to get work done today. Thanks to its resilience and the ability of the Firefox add-on Foxmarks to emulate my bookmarks on all of my computers, I have been able to function completely today. I just wanted to mention this as a lesson to all y’all. It makes REAL SENSE to back up your information on multiple computers and to HANG ON to your old comps if you get new ones. My good ol’ computer (that I named Chloe after the character on 24) saved my ass today and will continue to save my ass until I fix my new computer. Back-up your shizz, y’all … trust me, it comes in handy sometimes.

I *though* that might be the Amber and Matt to whom you referred yesterday. You lucky dog, you.

  2. Mr. Gyllenhaal Says:

Looks like fun!! I want to see this movie. That was funny about your jacket. At least you put it out there before anyone else did!

  3. Dori Says:

cute and catchy title.. reminds me of that plain white t’s song 1234.. although yours is in reverse order. =]

  4. jill Says:

omg lol Trent about your jacket. You’re wearing the best accessories for any questionable outfit — a great big smile and confidence.

  5. Angie Says:

That’s so funny.. I literally just bought an external hard drive yesterday, fearing for the life of my current laptop. Very good advice, Trent!

  6. Your Sarah Says:

:( I still feel bad about your computer even though I had NO idea that would happen. And mine is totes fine with it!! ??? Sorry ….

  7. Francesca Says:

Hi Trent- Just wanted to let you know that Coraline will still be in 3-D till next week.. The jonas brothers movie doesnt come out till the 26. I had to check cause I really wanted to watch Coraline in 3D and I couldnt believe that they would replace it with the Jonas Brothers…so thank goodness- there is still time. BTW- i love your blog- I have been a follower for atleast 4 yrs…

  8. NotSoMuch Says:

Ok, so when you say you are going to the movie with your friend Amber, you mean Amber Benson, from Buffy?!?! No way! So jealous right now!

  9. Natty Says:

I seen Coraline last week with the kids. LOVED it! I think someone needs to redesign the glasses we got though, they were hideous!

  10. Jerry Says:

I could have told you…you should have bought a mac instead of that piece of s–t thing PC. Then it NEVER would have broken.

  11. jadedsweetie Says:

Speaking of Chloe–Trent, what was up with Billy and Cane being all up in each other’s face? I’m behind on my Y&R :/

  12. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

@jadedsweetie — OOOH, it’s about to come out who the real father of Chloe’s baby is … that’s why Billy and Cane were all in each other’s face — I think the truth will come out tomorrow :)

  13. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

@Jerry — I am a Mac guy from way back in the day, my first computer was a Mac. But, I gotta say, the messianic love of the “indestructible Mac” is a bit much. Macs are great machines but I work much better on a PC.

  14. jadedsweetie Says:

@Trent–even if i hope its billy’s, is it too late for a lily/cane reunion?

  15. Corinne Says:

It was a great show, even if you are not so fortunate as to see it with Buffy alum!

  16. SquareHead Says:

Funny on the flame on. My brother-in-law decided to go by his middle name instead of his first name after he came out of the closet (I have yet to understand this phenomenon in the gay culture). Well my husband and I refuse to call him by anything other than what we’ve always called him. He wanted our children to call him by Uncle *middle name* but we kept saying Uncle *first name*. So then a compromise was reached, in reference to “flame on”, he’s now Uncle Torch. My husband has even taken to calling him Torch. I think it’s cute and silly… but I still call him by his first name, some habits are too hard to break ;~)

  17. Lauren Says:

yeah well some of us live in backwards places like WYOMING, where there probably isn’t a 3-D theatre within 750 miles. *SIGH* You’ll just have to recap it for us, Trent…..

    PS — Wyoming still rocks.

  18. Chella Says:

Fun times its was a great movie:) Trent you really rocked the jacket=)
