Michael Jackson Suffers The Ravages Of Time

What the hell happened?
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Yikes! is pretty much the best way to describe a disturbing new photo of Michael Jackson that was snapped this week as the man ventured out in public in Beverly Hills, CA. Wearing his, now, trademark surgical mask and cap, Jacko failed to wear gloves on this outing which meant that he had to show off his badly damaged hands … not a pretty sight:

He’s spent millions, by all accounts, keeping his face lily white and smooth. But perhaps Michael Jackson should have put some of that money towards his hands. Or at least have invested in a pair of gloves. The singer’s fingers and nails appeared to be in a terrible state when he stepped out this week. They showed signs of ageing and a distinct lack of care, with puffy, reddened skin and prominent veins. Jackson, 50, was pictured in Beverly Hills. An onlooker said: “His hands looked very discoloured and skin looked like it was dangling from his fingers. His fingernails could only be described as a manicurist’s worst nightmare.” As usual, the star had covered his head with a surgical cap and mask and a pair of dark glasses before he stepped out. On the rare occasions when his face has been seen, experts have pointed to scarring on his nose and hollows either side of it from cosmetic operations. The ’stitched-on’ appearance of his hairline has also lent weight to rumours that he wears a hairpiece or has had ‘plugs’ of hair inserted into his scalp. He is also thought to have arthritis. Jackson’s increasingly frail appearance has prompted speculation about the state of his health.

Ye gods! I’ve seen some scary photos of Michael Jackson before but … yeesh, this pic has to take the cake. The poor man looks like he is literally falling apart. It’s such a shame to see how much worse Jacko seems to get from day to day … I shudder to think what could be hiding underneath that mask. Again, I say, Yikes!

First Look: Tori Spelling, ‘Mommywood’

Also, see the coverart for Candy Spelling's new book 'Tales from Candyland'
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

After releasing her fairly successful first goss-filled memoir sTori Telling last year (a book that managed to piss off half of Hollywood), Tori Spelling is gettin’ ready to release a follow-up goss-filled memoir this Spring (which is prolly intent on pissing off the other half of Hollywood). Here is our first look at the cover artwork for Tori’s new book Mommywood which is due out this April:

To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tori’s last tome sTori Telling had something to do with pissing off Shannen Doherty which might’ve had something to do with Tori getting axed from the early eps of 90210 … but we’re in a new year, with a new book (that no one has read yet) and that’s all water under the bridge … for now. This new book is, apparently, more focused on Tori’s life as a mother … which may not be as interesting as her first book … but my guess is that she’ll throw in some juicy tidbits this time around — you know, for selling points.

After the jump, check out the cover art for Candy Spelling’s (Tori’s estranged mother) book Tales from Candyland

‘Be Careful What You Wish For’

The TV Guide
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Last night, David and I met up to double-date with Steph and Alek at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, CA. We decided to do dinner and a movie (but in reverse order) and Coraline was our film of choice:

Let me be expressly clear — Coraline is AMAZING! Henry Selnick, the director of A Nightmare Before Xmas, has taken Neil Gaiman’s wildly imaginative book and turned it into a visual masterpiece. In 3D, the film is just … stunning. I have to mention that there are A LOT of Detroit area mentions in the film … I do not recall these mentions in the original book so I suspect it was Selnick who decided to include them. Coraline’s family hails from Pontiac, MI. Coraline’s father wears a sweatshirt from Michigan State University. And a snow globe from the Detroit Zoo is featured prominently in the storyline. Additionally, Coraline’s mother’s car is a silver VW Bettle (exactly like mine) and the family lives in a home called the Pink Palace … uh, something tells me that this movie has been catered to me personally ;) But … I digress. This movie is one of those films that reminds you what movies should be all about … magic and wonder that is capable of whisking you away to another world. There are so many amazing little nuggets of inventiveness in this film, I cannot express how much I want each and every one of you to see it. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors and I am just so happy that one of his stories has been brought to life in this way … see this film! You must. Do try to see it in 3D (I understand that only 40% of the theaters in the country are showing it in 3D) as it will make the magic even more believable.

I should mention that we ran into Anne Hathaway and her new boyfriend double dating with John Krasinski and Emily Blunt at the theater last night. They were in line behind us for popcorn and then sat a couple rows in front of us inside the theater. They all looked so great … but we opted out of bothering them. We were much too bizzy having our own fun:

After the movie, we made our way to Birds on Fairfax for dinner and then decided to call it a night. It was rainy and chilly out so … we decided to end the night there.

This afternoon, David and I are gonna get out and enjoy some of the sunshine that has finally returned to SoCal … it’s still a bit chilly (in the high 50s) but the sun has returned. Huzzah!!

Michael Lohan Cannot Pay His Bills

Failure of epic proportions
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Just when you thought that things couldn’t get any more pathetic for Michael Lohan, he goes and proves you wrong. Earlier this past week, we learned that Michael Lohan decided to give up blogging a little over a month after he launched his official blog … and now, I guess, we know why. Early this morning, at just after 12AM, the webhost posted the following message on Lohan’s official blog:

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Failure of Payment
This blog will be completely shutting down in 24 hours due to failure of payment.

Thank You.

LOL. I mean, what else is there to say. This is, IMHO, the perfect way for Michael Lohan to go out.

Guess Who’s Got Some New Wheels

Who's been toolin' around SoCal in a shiny new car?
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Game time! Can you guess which photo-friendly celeb was spotted showing off his new wheels on the streets of Hollywood, CA yesterday?

Clearly this person was very keen on showing off his brand, spanking new silver Audi R8 to anyone he happened to come upon … including the paparazzi. I wonder what person’s ladylove thinks about this new toy. I wonder if she’s into fancy whips like this? HMMM. After the jump, find out who it is …
