Tori Spelling In Final Negotiations To Return To ‘90210’
Momlogic is reporting that Tori Spelling is in “final negotiations” to join her Beverly Hills, 90210 cohorts Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty on The CW hit spin-off 90210 and reprise her career-making role as Donna Martin! As you may recall, Tori was originally supposed to join the cast of the show when it debuted last Fall but reports of in-fighting and outrageous wage demands suggested that a deal was not possible between studio and actress (oh yeah, and there was that little matter of that baby that she gave birth to upsetting filming schedules). Something tells me that Spelling is no longer willing to play hardball and has succumbed to the studios parameters for her return:
EXCLUSIVE! Momlogic has learned the mother of two Tori Spelling is in final negotiations to return to West Beverly High! According to a well-placed source at the CW, the return of Tori Spelling as Donna Martin the new “90210″s inception is almost a reality. We’re told the actress is in “final negotiations” to return to the show alongside Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty.
TV Guide adds that it’s pretty much a done deal and that Jason Priestly will direct her return to 90210land:
Tori Spelling is about to sign a deal to reunite with Jennie Garth and Jason Priestley to shoot Donna Martin’s return to 90210, reports TV Guide’s senior editor Will Keck. Priestley will direct Spelling’s debut on the show, currently scheduled to be shot at the end of January. While salary reportedly squashed Tori’s initial plans to return to the show, recent negotiations were storyline-specific. Spelling, whose father Aaron Spelling created the original 90’s series, maintains a deep affinity for the character and only wanted to return if the material met her standards. The CW had hoped to close Spelling’s deal in time for the actress to join her castmates at a party Monday night, but she is currently in Vancouver shooting her second episode of Smallville as a Daily Planet reporter with the ability to melt.
This is awesome news! Last night’s ep of 90210 was pretty awesome … but the whole time I kept thinking about how the show was really missing something — Donna freakin’ Martin! Now that Brenda is going thru her problem, she’s gonna need more than just Kelly to help see her thru it. It’s the perfect time for Donna to return. I really hope that everything with this deal gets squared away properly, once and for all. Then, at last, the holy trinity of Brenda, Kelly and Donna can be whole again! Woot!!

I hope Brenda punches Donna in the face. Because someone should, and why not Brenda? Actually, I just want Shannen Doherty to punch Tori Spelling in the face. And while she’s at it, Shenae Grimes.

Why would you watch 90210 for Shannen Doherty? Tori may have written that book (which I will admit I bought & read & it was quite entertaining) but let’s face it, Shannen can’t really go anywhere without getting into a fight with someone! And she needs to get those teeth fixed!

Oh, really, JJ? There haven’t been any announcements that she’s been fighting with anyone on the new 90210, and we were all expecting she and Jennie Garth would throw down. And there have been no complaints about the majority of Shannen’s TV and film projects, with the exceptions of 90210 (with Garth and Spelling) and Charmed (with Milano). In fact, she and Holly Marie Combs are still very good friends. Why drudge up stuff from almost 10 years ago? And you ask why watch for Shannen? Because she can ACT, unlike Spelling. And not everyone has perfect teeth, nor does everyone need the same overbite. Lots of people have a gap in their two front teeth. Shannen obviously doesn’t care, so why the hell do you? :P

Dude, your site is filled with spyware. Try going to it on a clean machine. I spotted two attempts to redirect to two different spyware sites. It happens the first couple of visits and then goes away. Try it on Firefox and IE. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Maybe it’s one of your ads? My guess is your regulars won’t see it. This was on two different new laptops in both IE and Firefox. Two different redirects/pop-ups. On the third visit they go away. I’m not longer seeing it. Try and find a machine that hasn’t been to the site. I’ve had questionable pop-ups on my blog due to ads before. Good luck and no ill feelings.

In the distant I can hear the chants “Donna Martin graduates, Donna Martin graduates!” — I honestly almost gave up on the ‘new class’ a couple episodes ago but had to stick it out — anyone agree that this was the first really appealing ep? The storyline has been OK, but it didn’t really work for me until this week. yay!
