Sunshine Day
The TV Guide

Yesterday was a GLORIOUSLY warm and sunny day here in SoCal. After all the cold weather I braved back in Detroit, MI and NYC, NY in recent weeks, yesterday was truly a gift from the gods. Temps reached the 80s and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky … therefore, Steph, Alek and I decided to make a day of it at the beach. We made our way out to Venice Beach and had the time of our lives:

After a great lunch at the Sidewalk Cafe, we rented some bikes and made our way from Venice up to Santa Monica and back. Of course, we had to stop for an impromptu photoshoot in the sand … it was just really, really fun. Days like yesterday are prime examples why this is the one place in the world where I am happiest :) Having great friends to share LA with is just the icing on the cake. Because it is still January, the sun set really early in the evening so we made our way back to S&A’s to relax before some of their friends came over to hang out for a bit. We decided to grab a bite to eat before calling it a day, capping off a truly fabulous day.

This evening, I’m meeting up for dinner with my dear Danielle and then I’m not sure what’s going on after … I know that both the season premiere of 24 AND the Golden Globes are both airing tonight. Fortunately, I have already been able to watch the first 4 hours of 24 so I’ll prolly be watching the Globes. I hope all y’all had a truly fabulous weekend … I really, really enjoyed mine :)

Oh yes, and I’ll have good news to share tomorrow!
