‘Stink’ Is The New Blog
The TV Guide

My plans to meet up with my friend David fell thru last night since his brother unexpected came to town for a visit, so we decided to postpone our hanging out session until next week. Instead, I was able to meet up with my dear friend Amber Benson for a little bit o’ hanging out at Milk on Beverly Blvd (incidentally, Jack Osbourne and a friend were there too). She has yet to read the Twilight Saga books so I happily passed my copies over to her for her reading enjoyment and we spent a bit of time catching up and sharing dessert. She is currently filming an episode of Private Practice so we can look forward to seeing her on the show sometime in April :)

Afterward, I met up with Steph and Alek for dinner … we decided to dine at The Stinking Rose on La Cienega. Folks, if you like garlic then this place is for you. All of the dishes are garlic infused and they are DELISH! Sure, you leave the place smelling to high heaven but … MMMM it’s so worth it. David and I ate there a few months ago so it was nice to go back. They let you wear a hat and everything! So fun!!

Tonight will be a very fun night … Darion, Steph, Alek and I are going to the 10pm early screening of My Bloody Valentine 3D! Altho D and I saw the movie last week at the Hollywood premiere, we are both anxious to see it again … it’s gonna be so fun!! Woot!

You should make sure to mention that she should stop after New Moon. That’s where my best friend and I have stopped, because we just can’t anymore of that awful writing. How people can manage to put up with Bella, I don’t know. She’s the worst Mary Sue in history.

I am really excited to go see My Bloody Valentine 3D tomorrow. Jensen Ackles, FTW.

    • @Jerika – honestly, i did mention that some fans of the series were not happy with ‘breaking dawn’ but suggested she read it anyway. it wasn’t my fave of the series either but i’m glad i read it. lemme know what you think of ‘mbv’ when you see it — make sure your theater is showing it in 3D, you’ll have a blast :)

How does Amber find time to read books and meet friends for coffee? Amazing woman, that one :-)
How’s she looking these days, Trent?

This’ll be the 3rd Buffy/Angel character to guest on Private Practice! Amy Acker was on earlier this season, followed a week or two later by Alexis Denisof. Now Amber! Awesome!

Hi Trent! I’ve been reading your blog for the past 3 years and this is my first comment, late bloomer haha. Anyway, I live in Nor Cal and I know there’s a Stinking Rose in SF, can you recommend me some dishes to order? Thank you in advance!

Omigosh, I was just at The Stinking Rose too. That place is amazing, last time I went I stank for a week. I got the 40 clove chicken (yes, FORTY!) and it was delicious. I love the raw garlic relish you eat with the bread, our table of four finished an entire container’s worth! I’ve never had a bad dish there. Though the garlic ice cream was very…..interesting!

So fun to hear you went to the Stinking Rose! I went to the one in San Francisco last week and it was completely delish! For Michelle, who asked about dishes I agree with JJ about the garlic appetizers to eat with bread are great, we got the garlic cloves in olive oil, but you MUST like garlic. I’d say most of the pastas are a good choice. They have their menu online that I found helpful before I went. Have fun!
