Scarlett Johansson has been tapped to become the face of Dolce & Gabbana‘s new range of make-up products which is set to launch this year. Here is our first look at the first ad campaign for the new line of cosmetics which features Scarlett lookin’ all Marilyn Monroe in sexy repose rockin’ the red lips and nails:

We already love their sexy dresses, fabulous fragrances and amazing accessories, and now we have Dolce & Gabbana’s first makeup line to look forward to! The Italian design duo told WWD that Scarlett Johansson will be the face of the new collection, which had input from legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. “We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood,” Stefano Gabbana told WWD. The makeup will be packaged in glossy gold slipped into gold pouches, with colors taking inspiration from the Mediterranean (think deep blues and golds). The lipsticks will be scented with rose. “We wanted to create makeup with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open makeup, they smell it first,” said Gabbana. As for Scarlett, she was photographed for the sexy ad campaign by Solve Sundsbo lounging in a bed, recalling images of Marilyn Monroe. “Scarlett is sure of herself,” Gabbana said. “She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.” The products are set to launch for spring with prices ranging from $20 for nail lacquer to $59 for powder foundation.
Scarlett looks like the perfect person to launch this new product line for D&G. I don’t know that the world really needs another line of (what sounds to me like) expensive make-up but best of luck to all involved. As I’ve said many times before, I’m not too fond of the garish red look but the Marilyn pose is nice.

Random, but I think it’s just amazing how iconic Marilyn Monroe’s look has influenced American society ever since the 50s. Particularly, for how tragically short her life was and for how long ago she died. No matter how many people try to rock Marilyn’s look, no one can ever do it quite like the woman herself.
^ Ditto!
Scarlett looks great.
I can see the MM impression, but the first thing I thought was how much she looks like Kylie Minogue in that photo!! Eitherway, SJ is hottttt!
Yeah, kinda Marilyn Monroe but I would rather say, classic Hollywood glamour!
Very good pic!
i miss her charlotte character. there i found her really appealing and sexy.
it was more unique.
now they all play the overtly sexy thing.. boring. but well, i guess it works for them.
Pretty girl, but overrated. She has an air of arrogance, too.
meh. SJ’s done this look a million times. i liked her when she wasn’t so overexposed.
She kinda looks stoned…
Overrated, and agreed, she has far too much of an ego. I don’t think she’s that brilliant.
Why so much of the porcelain color? Imo, a richer backdrop color wouldve been nicer.
Can everyone plz stop trying to rock the Marilyn Monroe’s look
Can you imagine what red (deep shade) satin would have looked like or a deep blue or green?
What makes the new line different than Dior or any other color cosmetics line? Is there an eco slant or special ingredient? Another luxury brand in the market seems a bit ignorant of the current crisis. Scarlet is a nice enough girl and a curvy young lady but not a great actress by any means. She still has time though. What is all the fuss about? D&G were pioneers with dress construction and lingerie as outerwear. What makes their new product stand out other than wasteful gold packaging and stamping their name on it? Totally dilutes the brand with a “your logo here” addition for money because we all know that fragrance and beauty are cash cows for a brand.
she looks liek ronald mcdonald :c
