Prince Launches A New Music Website
Last week we learned that Prince announced his plan to release three new albums of music this year, two from him and one from his newest protégé Bria Valentine, as soon as he secured a distribution deal to sell physical copies of his albums. Prince launched MPLSound.com to preview select tracks (Crimson and Clover, 4ever, Colonized Mind, Wall of Berlin, (There’ll Never Be) Another Like Me and Here Eye Come) that are said to be forthcoming on these new albums but has since taken down that site and lieu of a new site at LOTUSFLOW3R.com:

This new site promises that fans will be able to LISTEN to new tracks by Prince and special guests, WATCH videos and exclusive content and BUY music, concert tickets and more. Right now, there are only 3 songs streaming on the site (Crimson and Clover, (There’ll Never Be) Another Like Me, and Here Eye Come) and no other options … no watching, no buying — yet. The site also reads January 2009 An entirely new galaxy awaits … so I suspect that there’ll be some big changes in the coming weeks. This is very exciting news for Prince fans. This new online experience may be a great way for Prince to release as much music as he likes, whenever he likes … and I can’t wait. I’ve been able to preview all of the music he’s teased us with thus far and I want to hear more. Stay tuned … it shouldn’t be long now.

Sorry trent, i have already given up on him when he said he opposed gay marriage.
Look at his nails? cmonnnnnn
He already lost many of his gay fans after his comment.
….nuff said!

@bryan – he contends that those comments were misreported, I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt

I will always enjoy Prince regardless of his mis-quotes.
Prince made sexuality a verb.
Regardless of preference, color or creed
He is a musical genius and has MANY MANY great songs collecting dust that (unforch) we may never hear.
Thank you for this update on his new site, Trent!
lotusflow3r.com it is!

I hope Prince didn’t send his cash to defeat Prop 8. It’s bad enough that the Jonas Bros are hard core fundis & Brandon Flowers’ contributions to his Mormon church were used to defeat Prop 8.

@ Haddie – that is not true, yes he is a mormom but he did say he did not contribute to the Mormom Church to defeat Prop 8 in any way. He said it’s up to individual how they live their life. Get your fact straight and yes i am gay.
@ Trent – Thanks Trent, i will give it a benefit of a doubt. Thanks for clearing it out.

@ haddie – i was referring to Brandon Flowers.

How does a posting of a new, exciting site become an issue over gay marriage and Prop 8? I’m sure there are plenty of places to post your comments and concerns about those issues. This particular one is focused on the new web site and music of Prince. Furthermore, Prop. 8 passed, the people have voted…GET OVER IT. And Bryan, nobody here cares whether or not your gay. I have absolutely nothing against gay people, other than the fact that they make everything about their sexual orientation…NOBODY CARES.

@Anthony Ray – making generalities about gay people isn’t really helping your point.
