Last week we got our first look at the new ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana Cosmetics that features celebrity spokesmodel Scarlett Johansson doing her best Marilyn Monroe. Today, we get to check out the second promo image to come from the ad campaign:
As excited as we were to hear that Dolce & Gabbana is launching a fabulous new makeup collection, we were even more excited to hear that Scarlett Johansson would be the face of the campaign. The blonde beauty was shot by Solve Sundsbo in London, in a series of shots meant to evoke Marilyn Monroe’s iconic beauty.
Of the two photos, I prefer this one over the other one. Scarlett really does have the Marilyn-look down pat … despite the ridic open, pouty mouth and garish red lipstick (in the first photo), I think she looks great in these ads. While I can’t love her with all my heart (mainly because she’s managed to steal away hottie Ryan Reynolds all for herself), I can’t really hate on her in these promo ads … I guess. Which photo do you prefer?

she is incredibly gorgeous and super sexy… I envy her but not cos she is sexy (I’m also sexy hahaha) but I want her husband!!!

She’s gorgeous. Great pose but not really feeling the face in this one…
Garish lipstick aside, the other one was better because her face wasn’t all one color.
I think she looks sort of like a young Kim Catrall in this picture. Is that weird? Am I the only one?

Just like the other photo, I feel like she looks more like Kylie Minogue in her recent days (especially for her “X” promos and stuff). I do like this photo than the other one though.
Kim C? Hmm perhaps. I am seeing a young Veronica Lake in that picture. I think ScarJO is lovely, but a bit ‘overrated’. I liked her more when she was more popular, ie Ghost World.

I’m so tired of people comparing her to Marilyn. I’d say Scarlett looks more like Lana Turner. Marilyn was waaaaaaaaaaay too gorgeous to be compared to anyone today.
