If you think 16 and 20 is ok, then you don’t have a daughter (or son). If you do have a kid and still think it’s ok…. well you shouldn’t be a parent.

Ohio law states that consent begins at 16, only if the partner is less than two years older. And that’s 729 days, not “two years”.

Teaching high school students, I have to agree that there’s only one reason why a 20 year old hangs out with a 16 year old. It isn’t love.

Why is it bad? Because at 16, no kid is mentally stable enough to know what the 20 year olds reason for being with them is. It’s proven science that the brain isn’t thinking properly about relationships at that point. Do some research before you say there’s no difference between 20/24 and 16/20.

I read somewhere this guy showed up on her daddy’s Nashville stars show. I sense daddy pulling strings for publicity all around — like the teen mags of the 70’s were always saying Brooke Shields was dating or interested in somebody like Donny Osmond or something. It’s a reasonable guess that it’s all manufactured for publicity. The idea is to protray Miley as cute and normal and able to land some hunk, a typical corporate character fabrication. He gets a lot of publicity too, and being on that “stars” show obviously that’s where he’s focused.
