Jessica Simpson Looks Happy, Healthy & Bootylicious
Pop turned Country music star Jessica Simpson was on hand to perform in Pembroke Pines, Florida at a Chili Cook-off hosted by a local Country radio station over the weekend and she used the live performance to unveil her sexy new body. Gone are the days of the too-skinny blonde bombshell (who looked as if she starved herself to near death when she portrayed Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard movie) and say hello to the much curvier, much healthier lookin’ Miss Simpson:
Say this for Jessica Simpson – she doesn’t hold back. “I am so excited that I am going to see my boyfriend tonight!” the singer told a crowd of nearly 30,000 fans at Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff Sunday at C. B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Fla., where she shared the bill with Alan Jackson and other country stars. Smiling, happy and hopping around the stage, Simpson, 28, performed a medley of her pop hit songs (”Angel,” “With You”) during her hour-long show, as well as delivered new songs from Do You Know, her first country album released last fall. Simpson’s rendition of “You’re My Sunday,” from the country album, was dedicated to her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who was waiting for her in Dallas. “My boyfriend is a football player, and he takes up my Sundays and now my Mondays,” Simpson told the appreciative audience. “I am sooo happy!” After the show, the songbird did a quick meet-and-greet for about 25 fans of all ages in a secret tent set up in the back of the park. As she entered the enclosure, she cracked, “My six inch heels are not working so well!” But she sure was. Radiant, smiling and pouring on a warm charm to those who had won a contest to meet her, Simpson posed for photos with all the fans – even though she had to catch a 5:45 p.m. flight to Dallas to see Romo.
I gotta say … Jess looks great :) I don’t recall seeing her look so happy (not even back when she was happily married to Nick Lachey). I also don’t recall her lookin’ so sure of herself and so happy to be on stage. I suspect that her relationship with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has something to do with Jess’s new attitude. I must admit, tho, that I am not a fan of the high-waisted jeans. I don’t think they flatter her figure very well. But, she finally does have a figure (more than just her very ample bosom) and I’m glad to see her workin’ it! I may tease Jess for some of the things she says and the usually (shall we say) simple way she says them … but I can’t hate on her here. She looks great! You go, Jess! Werk it out :)

That outfit looks God awful on her! She’s not a big girl by any means, but those pants and those belts make her look like she has gained an extra 20lbs. Still beautiful as always, just with some ugly ass pants that should have been burned in the early 90’s!

I don’t think she looks fat or chunky or pudgy by any stretch of the imagination. This outfit is not only gd ugly, but incredibly unflattering. This girl does not know how to dress for her body type. These are Mom Jeans From Hell, and she needs a bra with better support. I’m not a fan, but she’s a pretty girl who needs a better stylist.

People are so crazy critical! Try walking through a room sometime and having multiple people take unposed pics of you at different angles. You would surely find some SERIOUSLY unflattering pics of yourself. I’m sure that Trent can attest, camera weight + weird shots create a very altered image of celebs. When you meet them they are always SOOO tiny! Like half the size of normal people. I’m miniature compared to most people, and sometimes in candid shots I’ll look totally normal, then if I’m turned funny in others, I look near death.

I agree with CB, not many flattering photos are taken from those first two angles. If you notice, her face doesn’t look puffy in the rest of them. She definitely needs to burn those awful jeans though! NO one looks good in them!

She’s put on weight. When they break out the enormous belts it is usually to draw the eye away from the heavier areas. I’m not saying she’s enormous, but let’s fact it, she’s put on weight. Evident especially in her face.

Sorry Trent, I gotta disagree – not a good look for Jessica at all. I can’t even get past the crazy make up and probably too much plastic surgery of her face to make it to the curves or the outfit! Her hair is always terrible too – she just doesn’t know how to tone it down.
She might be a super nice person but in my opinion, she has no business singing anywhere in public. Her voice makes my ears hurt.
I tend to doubt how nice she is though after that whole Carrie Underwood thing when she wore that “Real Girls Eat Meat” t-shirt. Not a fan of the passive-aggressive cattiness. If you are going to be a bitch, own it!

Here’s what I think: She is wearing a terribly unflattering outfit, and this gives the illusion of back-fat rolls and pudge in places. I really don’t think she gained weight… it looks to me like she has had some “plumping” in the face region… Her cheekbones and other facial features were harsh before, kind of man-ish, so I wonder if she had herself “softened”, which gives the feeling of a fuller face..?
She looks so happy… who cares if she gained a few or is wearing bad pants??!

i managed to get within 3 rows of the stage during this performance yesterday. i live locally, and came solely for js, and left immediately after.. def not my cup of tea… the buzz was alll about how awful js looked and how heavy she is! everyone was talking about it! she looked AWFUL accept for the obvious fact of how fucking hawt she is.. thats the only reason this outfit almost works. i am surprised none of the blogs discuss the fact that miss js FORGOT THE WORDS TO HER OWN SONG, TWIIICE! she told her band to start over on her country hit single “come on over” my fav song and when they did she missed her cue a second time. i have the whole thing on video luckily! trent, im happy to share :)
anyways, ive never seen her live, and girl can sing a song! she has some voice, and she graced us with a couple of her old pop singles, and not just the new country. overall she was great!!
