Here Is Your Chance To Play With Edward Cullen

Keep it clean, y'all
January 8th, 2009

Now that the matter of Taylor Lautner retaining the role of Jacob Black in the upcoming Twilight sequel has been settled, we can move on to more pressing Twilight matters … like the Edward Cullen doll! Hot Topic, who brings us the official Twilight perfume, is offering the new Edward Cullen doll/action figure (depending on your gender) for pre-order for those of you interested in having your very own Edward to play with:

This Edward action figure features the sensitive vampire in his blue button-down shirt, jeans and grey pea coat. Beautiful articulation with movable limbs. Includes a Cullen crest. Imported. To guarantee arrival on or around 1/20, order by 1/13.

The doll/action figure is selling for $16.99 so ORDER NOW! See, what I don’t understand is why Hot Topic and the Twilight merchandising people waited until after Xmas to offer both the perfume and the doll … it makes more sense to offer them in time for Xmas shopping but, then again, rabid Twilighters don’t really need a reason to spend their money on this stuff. You deffo don’t want to be the last kid on the block to get your hands on one of these coveted dolls. I wonder if it’ll fit in a Barbie dreamcar/house? Anyone?

bahahaha. that’s awesome! @trent – are you team edward or team jacob? i flipped through the past posts but i didn’t see anything indicating your preference!

  2. Bevy Beloved Says:

I wonder how much he will glitter when he is naked ;) LOL

  3. reag Says:

they already have them at borders… or are they different?

  4. Jami Says:

Hey Trent, I just wanted to let you know that a Twitter login window/screen keeps popping up on your site when it loads. With all the twitter hacking going on right now you might want to look into fixing that. It might have something to do with your Twitter sidebar widget since it appears to be broken!

    :)

  5. Lisa Says:

Does this creep anyone else out??

  6. Traci Says:

It’s probably too small for Barbie, and too big to hang out with Star Wars action figures and small GI Joes. It looks about the same size as my Shaun of the Dead/Ash from Evil Dead/zombified Quentin Tarantino from Grindhouse figures. I’m just basing this on the packaging though, I could easily be wrong. ;)

  7. nikki Says:

wonder if he’s anatomically incorrect like ken too, or if they fixed that!

  8. Coming to a Forks Dream House near you! « Letters to Rob Says:

    [...] PISTNB [...]

  9. Roxster Says:

I agree Trent, the only explanation I can figure out for not rolling out the perfume and doll until now is that they were hesitant to start production until they were sure the movie was a success. Either way…if you’re gonna pimp out a movie franchise do it will. Everytime more junk like this comes out the more I can’t help but think that if Kristen and Rob knew in advance this was a possibility, they wouldn’t have signed on. Neither of them are into commercial stuff. And at this point I really can’t blame them….who wants to see their face on a perfume box?

  10. ellee Says:

My husband bought me an Edward doll for Christmas! I don’t know where he got it from, but its adorable, not as cute as the the real thing, Rob, but it will do.

  11. chanelle Says:

    i love it!

  12. stef Says:

I agree with lisa. Its slightly creepy.

  13. Tracy Says:

Ok um…I hope none of you plan on ordering this doll. WTF would you do with it?

  14. Suze Says:

Tracy…I’d find a Barbie that resembles me and let them play house, LOL.

  15. Linda Says:

This doll and the perfume aren’t exclusively available at Hot Topic. They have been for sale at FYI and Borders for weeks before Christmas!

  16. Darlene Says:

Actually I have bought mine at Suncoast a while back. But there it was like twenty bucks.

  17. Camille Says:

if you look reaallyyy close, thats one creepy lookin doll.

  18. Camille Says:

and arian, i know girls who are 9 and reading Twilight.
    calm down. :)

This version of the doll of Edward looks nothing like the dolls offered by the Tonner Doll Company (Is the World Ready for Twilight Dolls? http://pinkisthenewblog.com/home/2008/12/is-the-world-ready-for-twilight-dolls/) which bear more of a resemblance to the actors.

This doll of Edward looks a tad too EuroAsian LOL – his eyes are too slanted!

  20. DCMA Queen Says:

I got that for Christmas. My mom bought it for me, so i guess it WAS out for Christmas… I’ve never seen the perfume…

  21. Debbie Says:

Oh I want one, I want one !!!

  22. CB Says:

I really don’t understand this whole “Twilight” craze, but I have refrained from judgment until I finished reading the first book. I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer or anything, but the book isn’t even very well written. And who’s ever heard of a vampire that abstains from sex? That whole concept is just too funny!
I believe Amelie Gillette said it best:

  23. Tracy Says:

LOL suze..i didnt think about it that way

  24. Panti Christ Says:

What would rule is if he fit into my She-Ra castle!

  25. Michelle ma belle Says:

Again, I love Twilight but come on! I think they are going above and beyond what that should be for marketing.

  26. Sarah Says:

Is it wrong that the first thought was concerning whether the clothes come off? But I wouldnt pay jack unless I knew the skin sparkled.

  27. SiuGai Says:

Holy! I just saw this doll today at tiny toy store in Macau! I thought it’s been out for awhile as that store is ostly selling off season toys! I remember they were selling it at around USD$10!
