Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Promise To Televise Their Eventual Wedding
In the wake of the shocking news that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s overhyped nuptials in Mexico back in November are not legal and that the couple failed to legalize their “marriage” upon returning to the US in the weeks following, Speidi are going on the record with In Touch Weekly magazine to discuss their ignorance of marriage law … as well as their solemn vow to really marry one day and broadcast it on television when the happy day arrives:
Spencer Pratt acknowledges that his marriage to Heidi Montag was fake — but only because he was uninformed. “I didn’t even know you have to legalize a wedding,” claims Spencer, who tied the knot with Heidi, 22, in a nonbinding ceremony on November 19 in Mexico. “I thought growing up, you say ‘I do’ and you’re married.” And Heidi agrees. “We had our elopement, and to me, that counts,” she said at Christian Audigier nightclub in Las Vegas on December 31, but she adds that they are now planning to make it official. “We’re going to have a bigger wedding for friends and family.” And it will be a major production. “We’ll definitely have it on TV because of the fans and haters,” vows Spencer.
Well, at least we can look forward to their “bigger wedding” that will be featured “on TV” cuz isn’t that what we all really want to see? Honestly, tho, I don’t know how they can expect to be taken seriously at all … they’ve been talking about this wedding for years and going so far as to fake a wedding for a little publicity only to have it turn out to be a sham of ridiculous proportions will do nothing to fortify any integrity that they have. Speidi are TV characters and should be treated as such … as far as Heidi and Spencer go, well, I’m pretty confident that they’ve got it all planned out perfectly. As long as The Hills continues to carry on, we’ll be hearing from these two by way of various shenanigans and photo ops. The ultimate coup will be if they actually get their own TV show. To be honest, my money says that they will … then those wedding bells will be ringin’ for real.

I love how people who are anti gay marriage whine about how it ruins the “family structure/household” but can’t give a concrete example. How is the instance of two consenting adults you have never met wanting to marry one another and go ahead and live their lives going to ruin anyone’s family structure, much less YOUR family structure? If anything, doesn’t it strengthen the family structure by creating a legally binding commitment? Maybe the majority of voters at this time don’t want it to be legalized, but as more and more young kids who are growing up in this more accepting culture a) approach voting age and b) get to a point where they themselves may want to marry their gay partner, it IS GOING TO HAPPEN, and I am confident it will happen in this century, and I will be so pleased to see what aryan (oops, arian) has to say about that. Guess what arian? People are gay. SO WHAT. People have always been gay. People have always had blue eyes, or brown skin, or are left-handed. There is NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF. That being said, I cannot stand Heidi and Spencer and if those morons aren’t the poster children for making a mockery of the “sacred institution of marriage” I don’t know who are.

They want to be the next “Newlyweds” for MTV. I know that show ended with Jessica and Nick but once they get a green light for a reality show of their own about their marriage- you’ll see Heidi and Spencer do it for reals.
