I don’t see why Blago should be talking to the people. It’s the the state Congress that he needs to be talking to. They are the ones to decide if he stays or not. Someone needs to knock some sense into this guy.

I am not ashamed to be from Illinois – but I am ashamed of the politicians that we keep electing to governor. This will be the second governor in a row to go to jail! (Hoping that he does, of course!)

I agree with Anna. Why isn’t he here in Illinois? He should be defending himself to Springfield or Chicago! The ladies of the View are not suffering from his actions – we are!!!

You know people are only making a big deal about this because Obama’s name is involved in this. Yea what Blagojevich did was far from right, but come on he’s not the only dirty politician the U.S has to offer. My point is, if it were a different state, different person and Mr. Presidents name wasn’t attached to this it wouldn’t have gotten this much coverage. Oh and for you fellow Illinoisans, you shouldn’t be ashamed, theres much more to Illinois that Blagojevich.

He’s been a nut job since day one! I never voted for him and he only got into office by chance because the Repulican who ran against him for the first time unfortunately had the same last name the corrupt govenor who they were replacing. Blago is an egotistical nut job and he deserves everything he’s getting. Just making the TV rounds makes him more crazy!

Dillusional! He has severe issues of grandeur. Look at who he has compared himself to- Martin Luther King Jr. , Ghandi, Nelson Mandela… and now Oprah? Who skips out on their own trial to make TV appearances? He is so far gone it’s scary that he actually once held a public position. He needs a FULL MENTAL EVALUATION.

He’s such an embarrassment to Illinois. I can’t stand the way he makes our state look. It was such a great time to be from Illinois when President Obama was elected, now this governor and his insane behavior and ridiculous remarks is ruining it.

This is just an embarrassment to the state of Illinois. Today’s paper outlines his impeachment trial, going on NOW, while there he is on the View making jokes about his Nixon impersonation and refusing to answer yes-or-no questions. If he cares so much about the people of Illinois, as he mentions in every other sentence, come on the Chicago news, do the Chicago radio, and speak from your office. Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, and Larry King aren’t suffering from the debacle going on in the Illinois Senate, the people of Illinois you love so much are. I have no problem assuming he’s innocent until proven guilty, but his media blitz has made me lose any respect I may have still harbored towards him. Get on a plane and come back to do your job while you still have it. Geez.
