Morrissey has got a new music video out for the first single from his new album Years Of Refusal which is due out on February 17. Here are a few screencaps from his new single and music video I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris:
I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to preview the album in full and, honestly, I wasn’t immediately wowed. It took me a few listens to really get into the disc but I’m totally on board with it now. It does sound a bit like his previous albums, which is good but (on the negative side) sometimes just sounds like more of the same. Moz is Moz and I totally <3 him. As I said, after a few listens I totally got the album and I quite like this simple video. I'm just glad to see that the Mozzer is still up for makin’ music. Here’s hopin’ this will not be the last disc that we’ll get from the miserable one.

Trent, I have to disagree slightly with you, I think years of refusal is better than ringleader, better sound, better lyrics and more in the vein of vauxhall and I.
love the new album and love Moz.

Morrissey pissed me off with comments he made last year about immigrants in England…yet he lives in Paris. What a hypocrite.

The song isn’t bad but wow does he look old. I saw him in concert 20 years ago and he was hot. Time takes it toll I guess.

Love him, always will. But, his music is not the same anymore. Too rocked out. Compare Ringleader to Bona Drag..and Vauxhall and I. Those were brilliant. His new works are not so great..long song titles and bad lyrics.

Oh and to add to this, his body language and expressions are annoying. This is coming from a true fan who misses the old Moz, but understands that artists change.

Trent, I could not agree more. I love the Moz to death but he needs to change direction.
