The first movie trailer for the Summer live action G.I. Joe movie, The Rise of Cobra, has made its way to the Internets ahead of its television debut during the SuperBowl game tomorrow … here are a few screencaps from the 30-second trailer that will air tomorrow:
Thus far, my worries have been put to some rest. This teaser commercial doesn’t offer much footage but what it does offer is fairly impressive … thus far. As you can tell from the screencaps, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France takes a little damage thanks to Cobra … and the Joes spring into action. While I would love to see more members of G.I. Joe in this movie (I think it’s clear from this trailer just how many we’re going to get … sadly, no Shipwreck, Rock ‘N Roll or Lady Jaye), I can live with this small team of Joes. Sienna Miller, whatever you may think about her personally, looks like she’s gonna be a damn fine Baroness. Wee! I can’t wait to see more … but this trailer is a nice snack to tide us over. Sooo … thoughts?

Chris E is awesome..and I think Sienna will be good. She was great as Edie Sedgwick, too..she’s not that bad. Still, too many characters missing. No Lady Jaye? Huh? Bad move.

this looks like it is going to be awesome! my brother is a G.I. Joe freak so i kinda have to see it haha. i’m excited to see Rachel Nicols as Scarlett and all the rest of the cast as the G.I. Joes

Looks ok I guess…. Storm Shadow is looking a bit weak and I don’t see Firefly so if they even try to give some back story on snake eye’s they better do it right… last thing we need is another chalked up cheesy flick, taking something wonderful from my childhood and turning it to sh@#!!
p.s. at the end of the movie they should have a little safety tip for the kids, like the 80’s cartoon series… lol… Yo Joe!!
