Disaster Area
Moving preparations continued yesterday as I started to pull things off my walls and pack other things into their boxes. I’ve been spending most of today leaping between piles of boxes and crazy clutter in every room. I still have a few things I want to box up on my own but I’m really looking forward to having a team of movers come in and do all the tedious rest. Blah.
Nothing at all exciting to report … last night I placed the last food delivery to my apt. Tonight I’m meeting with Jordan for dinner and tomorrow I’m heading out to celebrate Kirsten’s birthday … David arrives Saturday and then I’m outta here on Sunday. I’m at t-minus 3 days and counting. I am SO looking forward to getting the move over with … it’ll be nice to start settling again, putting together my new home with David. I’m getting really excited now … wee!

I’m not a big fan of moving, but after the hard work is over, it’s always nice to relax in your new home. And ’specially for you since you’ll be living with David! Hope your new place gives you more fond memories!

Hey Trent-Good luck with the new digs!! No super bowl? Be sure to root for the STEELERS!

Best moving advice I ever got was from my dad: the first thing you do when you get into the new place is assemble and make the bed. Trust me, it will be the last thing you’ll want to do when you’re already tired!

I’m excited for you too Trent. I hate moving, but love organising a new home.

UGH! I hate moving. Its much worse when you have kids. We moved into our current house 2 weeks before this last Christmas and the day after I had a Chemo treatment. We put the beds up, hooked up the tv, and ordered out for the first 4 days till I was fully back on my feet.

I hate moving. The longer you are in a place the worse it is. I was in my last house 25 yrs. We had one of those big roll off dumpsters delivered to the house and we had a week to fill it up. Then they come back and hauled it all away.

@Amy — I’ve been in this apt. for just over 2 years, where can I get one of those dumpsters? ;)

The moving will be worth it in the end. I am so happy for you and David!

@Trent I am in Denver. I would just do search in your area for roll off dumpster rentals. I am sure you will have a lot to choose from. If you are in an apartment you probably better ok it with management. They do come in different sizes, so you may not need the huge one that I got. Good Luck hope this helps.

You should totally screw around with your movers by putting labels on your larger boxes “PORN”, “BONGS”, “BUTT PLUGS”….let the fun begin! LOL!

OMG Dustin that is SO funny! tee hee hee

@Dustin, that is too funny. It totally sounds like something my husband would pull. Of course Id let him! Sadly Ive never had the pleasure of using movers.

Trent! Have you seen Repo! The Genetic Opera yet? I haven’t seen anything about it here, and since Anthony Stewart Head’s the main character, that just isnt right! xD
Maybe when you get settled in and have some down time, you can relax with Giles belting it out while repossessing organs.

I wish you all the luck for your moving-weekend, and hope everything goes as planned. Moving can indeed be stressfull, but it is also very satisfactory when you can organize a new house =) Lot’s of luck !
Greetings from Belgium

I’m so excited for you! I made the move from SoFla to the Jersey Shore a year ago to move in with my long distance love (after 3 years). I’m stupidly happy, and wish the same for you and David.
