Coal Miner’s Slaughter
As I mentioned earlier today (and Twittered last night), Darion and I attended the LA premiere screening of the new Lionsgate horror film My Bloody Valentine 3D and had an absolute blast the entire evening. I cannot stress enough how much I loved this film … no lie, no exaggeration. The 3D elements in the flick are jaw-dropping and make for THE BEST TIME you’ll have at the movies all year. I promise, it’s that fun:
I understand that not every movie theater that will show this movie is equipped for 3D viewing so I URGE YOU to find the theater in your area that is showing this film in 3D to get the full effect. From the opening credits right to the very end of the closing credits, the entire movie is in 3D. Unlike traditional 3D movies, most of the 3Dness takes place in the screen (ie. as if you’re looking into the screen) but there are a lot of really fun gags where the 3D elements come out of the screen and into your face. Early on there is an eyeball gag that cues you in to how fun the movie is going to be. IT should be noted that there is a very lengthy and hilarious nude scene, featuring Betsy Rue, that is both funny and sexy … 3D boobs are not to be missed, I’m telling you. The movie is a very adequate horror film but there is also a Whodunit element that makes the intrigue exciting to the very end. The movie has so many fun 3D gags that I cannot list them all, you just have to see them for yourselves. Trust me on this one, you’ll scream, you’ll jump, you’ll have a blast … and make sure you stay til the very end of the credits :)

Jaime was such a doll … she remembered D and me from The Spirit premiere last month. Jensen and Kerr were really nice, really hawt in person. Betsy Rue (the nekkid chick) was such a sweetheart … we loved chatting with her. She was able to spill that she will be appearing in the new season of True Blood :) I suspect she’ll be nekkid in that project as well :)

Darion just *had* to get a photo with Paris Hilton (I opted out … been there, done that … besides, I didn’t want to have to address that wonky eye post I wrote recently ;) and I got to meet Pink reader Jennifer. Much, much love goes out to the Danielles from Lionsgate for taking such amazing care of us, as always. They are such a credit to that company … I love them both so much :)
So yeah, we had a blast … Darion and I are deffo planning on seeing My Bloody Valentine 3D again when it opens next weekend. It’ll be fun to round up Le GangTM and watch this 3D masterpiece again!
Tonight, D and I are gettin’ peeps together to watch the Dollhouse screener that I received yesterday … should be fun. Also, I may have really great news to announce very soon … we’re like 98% there :)
And finally, congrats again to the Gators at the University of Florida on their win. To the respectful fans who sent nice messages to me on OU’s loss, much love to you! I’m a proud OU Sooner and love my boys!! I look forward to rooting for them next season :)

AHHH PARIS….Do they give you the glasses when you see the movie or do you have to buy them previous to entering the theater? I can’t wait and I am so jealous Darion got a picture with PARIS….AHHHHHH!!!!

OMG! I can’t believe you met Jensen Ackles! I am like completely in love with him and I religiously watch his show Supernatural (co-starring Jared Padalecki). It’s such a good show, and I am so so jealous of you! Thanks for the pics though, that eye candy will definitely help get me past my work-day! :)

I love 80’s Horror movies (really all Horror movies), and am a fan of the original. I have it on DVD and watch it over and over. Thanks for the review Trent!!! Can’t wait to see this.

The first movie was filmed in my hometown in Nova Scotia….scared the shit out of me….I never saw the mines the same way again. When I go down the old mine road I still get shivers!
