Britney Spears Shares Hometown Photos With Her Sons
Also has her conservatorship made permanent ... like, for good!

BritneySpears.com has been updated with a whole slew of photos of Britney Spears with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James all dressed up for Bryan Spears‘s wedding day, which took place in the Spears‘ hometown in Louisiana on New Year’s Eve. Here is a supercute pic of Britney with her young sons on uncle Bryan‘s big day:

Check out these awesome pictures of Britney, her mom Lynne and her boys Jayden James and Sean Preston! The photos were taken just before they all headed out to brother Bryan’s Louisiana wedding on New Year’s Eve! We hear Britney had a great time during her holiday stay in her home state and that it was super chill, with lots of working out and spending time with her whole family!

Aww … they all look so purdy! After the jump, check out a few more photos of Britney and the boys from this impromptu photoshoot. Additionally, read all about the latest ruling in Britney‘s conservatorship which was just made totally permanent

It’s official – Britney Spears is no longer in control of herself. Court papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, making a judge’s October ruling (which made the conservatorship over Britney permanent) official. The conservatorship over the pop star legally began on January 5, 2009. The agreement gives permanent control of the pop star’s finances to her father, Jamie Spears, along with attorney Andrew Wallet. While Jamie is sole conservator over Britney’s personal matters. In the papers pertaining to Britney’s financial matters, it states Britney “is substantially unable to manage … her financial resources or to resist fraud or undue influence.” When it comes to control over Britney, herself, the papers state the star “is unable properly to provide for his or her personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.” The personal order also gives Jamie Spears “the power to restrict and limit visitors by any means.” When Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz granted Jamie Spears a permanent conservatorship over his daughter on October 28, 2008, a court-appointed attorney for Spears said the singer did not object to the arrangement. Britney was not present in court on Monday, and instead was represented by attorney Sam Ingham.

Wow, this conservatorship biz is serious. I believe that now that the ruling has been made permanent the only way for it to end would be if Jamie Spears decides to end it or if he dies. Honestly, I’m a bit torn over the lengths of control that this conservatorship has over Britney‘s person. On the one hand, I’m glad that her father was able to step in and take control in her time of need but on the other hand, this sort of control is usually reserved for people who are totally incapable of handling their own affairs (ie. someone in a coma). While Britney may have been a total mess a year ago (and may yet not be 100% right now), I think it might be a bit much for this conservatorship to be so far-reaching and permanent. In the end, tho, it has been nothing but positive for Britney‘s life so … mebbe it is for the best. In any event, debate about the matter is over — it’s a done deal now.

  2. LOVECarrie says:

Well…she’s done a 180 since it began. Who knows? I don’t think it’s a bad thing for her now and maybe it will be revisited at some point down the line. On a lighter note, Sean P. is such a cute kid! Well, both are.

  3. K says:

These are great pictures. She looks really healthy and happy.

And how cute are her boys?

  4. Lulu says:

Perhaps it is for the best… One would hope her Father has only her best interests in mind. I wonder how this would effect any future marriages.. hmm…

  5. MeGs says:

I’m routing for her..things are definately looking up for Britney- I just hope that her dad will be fair and give her some personal freedoms, since she has made major strides in turning her life/career around. He seems like he knows what he is doing so far anyways.

  6. E says:

First of all, she looks beautiful. She really loves her kids and that is definitely depicted in these pictures. Second, I agree with you Trent. I think this conservatorship being made permanent is a bit much. I mean, Britney’s only 27 years old. Permanent for a huge remainder of her life?? I think that’s a lot. She’s only 27 and is and will no longer be in control of her life…well as long as her father’s alive. That’s really sad =[

She looks great and it is really nice to see her in pictures with her children. They look really happy.

  8. Jessica says:

It’s sad that a grown woman must have someone in her life that controls all aspects of her life. But I think the problem is that Britney has never really learned how to take care of herself and is easily influenced by others who don’t have her best interests at heart. Maybe eventually she will be able to learn to fully take care of herself and that will be a great day not just for her but her dad too.

On a different note she does look beautiful and happy and so do her children.

The permanance is a bit much…and a little scary sounding.

  10. JR says:

She looks great! And those boys are so adorable! So glad to see them all looking so happy and put together!

  11. Tracy says:

She looks GORGEOUS. But..she is unable to provide food and clothing for herself? That’s pretty severe. Whatevs..just as long as she is safe.

  12. nae says:

she looks fantastic! the bit about not providing food or clothing for herself scares me…..!

& please, get that paci out of that kid’s mouth already!

  13. Froggie2004 says:

She never really learned how to take proper care of herself, her father should have been this involved in her career when she first started out. This is for the best, her father can keep CREEPY people away from her like Sims and Lufti, thank goodness!!

No – it is not sad that a grown woman must have someone to control all aspects of her life – it is necessary because she is seriously mentally ill. A common feature of someone with bipolar disorder is that they do not think it necessary to take their meds. And the meds are the only answer for a normal life. Obviously, her father cares for her – look at the results of his conservatorship. She is fit and somewhat together and she seems to be enjoying her visits with her sons.

  15. Unusual You says:

They say it had to be made permanent because no one would provide insurance for her world tour unless Jaime is in control. So there, it’s for the better.

  16. nicole says:

i think its best its permanent. like tink said, she is mentally ill. even if she doesnt want to admit it & complain she doesnt have freedom, she needs to be watched. obviously her dad knows what he’s doing, do you think if he wasnt around she would have got to see those kids? i dont think so. and who knows…in a few years..things could change..but for now..its best.

  17. Sounds depressing, if you ask me.

  18. Cherrylips says:

PERMANENT DOESN’T MEAN PERMANENT IN THIS SITUATION DIDN’T THEY SAY THE ONLY REASON THEY WERE MAKING IT PERMANENT WAS SO THEY DIDN’T HAVE TO GO TO COURT TO RENEW IT EVERY FEW MONTHS. THE CONSERVATORSHIP IS STILL GOING TO BE REVIEWED EVERY FEW MONTHS AND WHEN HER DOCTORS THINK SHE’S READY THEY’LL END IT I DON’T GET WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS NOTHING CHANGED…..SO WHY IS EVERYONE FREAKING???????????????????????
