Praise the Heavens above … Britney Spears has finally taken a positive step forward in her rehabilitation to sanity that has been long overdue. A legal team, on behalf of Britney and Jamie Spears (as her conservator) filed suit against Osama Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib (in my opinion, lecherous and unsavory men who did everything they could to exploit Britney Spears when she was at her weakest for their own personal gain) asking the court that they be barred from getting near her … fearing that these men might do her harm, Britney‘s legal team is hoping that the men might be locked up in jail, never to be seen or heard from again:
[TMZ has] learned [that] Britney Spears conservators have just obtained a restraining order against Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib. Britney’s lawyers went to court this morning to obtain the injunction. A source close to the conservatorship tells TMZ Britney asked her conservators to “protect her from Sam and Adnan.” We’ve also learned Britney told her conservators she was afraid of them both and hoped they could be locked up in jail. A source tells TMZ the conservators believe Lutfi and Ghalib conspired to try and undermine Britney’s conservatorship in a way that would have been extremely harmful to her. We’re also told attorney Jon Eardley — the dude Lutfi used early last year to mount a bizarre, baseless attack on the conservatorship — was allegedly also in on the conspiracy and the TRO is against him as well.
From the sounds of it, it appears that Lutfi, Ghalib and this Eardley fellow have joined forces to try and usurp Papa Jamie Spears‘s conservatorship over Britney in an effort to gain control of her themselves. It would seem to me that their alleged attempts to get Britney free from her father’s guidance is an elaborate ploy to get her away from his watchful eye long enough for them to try and swoop in and exert their own control over her. If true, these men truly sicken me. Thankfully, Papa Spears and his legal team took the offensive to try and keep this travesty from happening. As most of you are well aware, the very shady Osama Sam Lutfi (who acted as Britney‘s manager when she was at her lowest point) and Adnan Ghalib (a former paparazzo who managed to weasel his way into Britney‘s life after spending years taking photos of her) were, by most accounts, in complete control of Britney Spears‘s person in the months leading up to her mental breakdown. It has been alleged that these two men exerted control over her (in various ways, thru means that have yet to be disclosed — I personally would not be surprised if she had been drugged) and exploited her for their personal gain at every opportunity. While I do not believe that these two men were working on concert to exploit her back then (my belief is that Lutfi and former assistant/fake cousin Alli Sims were working together, Ghalib was operating on his own), I do believe that their actions (individual of one another) led to the point of collapse that Britney suffered at the start of 2008. Thankfully, Britney‘s father Jamie Spears stepped in and petitioned the court to give him conservatorship power over her person … and the rest is history. Under her father’s guidance, Britney has been thriving and has, it seems, been successfully putting her life back together. If these allegations are true and Lutfi, Ghalib and Eardley are conspiring to get their hooks into our dear Britney again … I really hope some legal action can be brought against them. In my estimation, these men have leeched off her for far too long and, very probably, caused permanent damage to her psyche or worse. This news of this suit brought against them is the best news ever … hopefully we’ll never hear from these scumbags ever again. Thank you, Jamie Spears, for continuing to protect and defend our dear Britney Spears.

I’m just glad it’s sounding like Britney was in on this action. It was making me nervous that a lot of what has been happening since the conservatorship was happening to Britney. Now it’s getting back to where things are happening because of her, which will continue to yield great results.
Nice to know that Daddy Spears has that situation on lock. Britney and her dad have been doing a good job of getting her back to functional after her “troubles”.

Considering the other restraining orders Sam has against him (not just with Britney but other victims) this man DOES need to be in jail. I’m surprised they’re not going to have Ali be taken into action as well.

@natalia — I am pointing out what his name is, the name that is listed on the court order against him. You may recall that I refer to Lauren ‘LC’ Conrad and Lauren ‘Lo’ Bosworth in the same manner — nicknames are differentiated from legal names. Your accusation of racism is abhorrent to me.
It’s great news they’re trying to keep those guys away from her.
I don’t like her music but I hope her working on the new CD helps her to take more control of her life instead of putting stress on her.

As for Britney, while I’m glad that these legal steps are being taken to ensure her safety, this development actually increases my concern for her well-being.
It seems like she almost literally has angels and devils sitting on each shoulder telling her what to do.
In the days leading up to early ’08, it was the ‘devils’ guiding her along. And now (thank Goddess) it’s the angels (represented, obvs, by her Dad).
But what has me really concerned is that she’s, what, 26, now? She absolutely must make decisions on her own in order to be not only a strong person but also to be a strong parent for her two boys. I hope she is getting LOTS of opportunity to guide this process to her own desired outcome. I have no doubt her Dad loves her and is a positive influence but I guess I just really want to start reading stories of her unmistakable control over her own life.
It’ll be a long road for her, but I hope she’s getting well on her way to self-supported happiness and independence.
The other night my friend and I went out and saw a go-go dancer shakin’ his booty to “Kill The Lights”. It was great fun (although kinda tragic choreography). The point is, I wish all the Britney drama would kinda disappear so that her music and her music alone becomes the main reason that people write and talk about her. For her sake, ya know?
