‘Battlestar Galactica’ Returns For Its Final Season
Battlestar Galactica, the amazing sci-fi remake of the original 1970’s TV series, returns tonight with the final new episodes of the second half of the final season. Last June, the series ended on a pretty cool cliffhanger and tonight the series returns to the Sci-Fi Channel to finish telling the tale:
I admit, my dumbass was not “in the know” about this series until just this past Summer. I had heard how amazing it was but never invested the time to get to know the show. For my birthday, Kirsten got me the first season of the show and I was hooked like a mofo. I watched the entire series up to the point were it left off last June in the weeks that followed, loving every minute of it. I am SO excited for new eps … even tho I’m very sad the series is ending, I can’t wait to see how the whole story wraps up. Those of you who watch the show know how UNBELIEVABLE the last new ep that aired in June was … I’m just totally anxious to see how things pick up tonight. There are only 10 episodes left in the entire series … you don’t want to miss a single thing. Battlestar Galactica airs tonight at 10PM on Sci-Fi. How many of y’all will be tuning in to watch tonight with me?

My friends made fun of me for watching this show, dismissing it as “sci-fi” which is short sighted. This show is amazing and has dealt with many of the modern issues we have faced today. Plus the characters are kick ass. Watch it.

my fiance and i invested in netflix and proceeded to get ourselves caught up on this show this past fall and we LOVE it! we’ll be watching for sure :). in other news, there is another critically acclaimed and generally awesome television show coming back tonight: friday night lights @ 9 on NBC!

This show is amazing and I am so up for the new episodes to start tonight. I do recommend that anyone who hasn’t seen it from the beginning not watch the new season until they’ve viewed the previous ones.

BSG is one of the few shows that I actually make time to watch. I’m so glad that you’ve gotten in to it, Trent! And even more glad that you are bringing the love to the masses! It’s not just for geeks, it really is a GREAT show– too few people know that.

BSG rocks my socks!!! I’m so sad the series is ending, but I know that its for the best, these last 10 eps are going to be amazing.

Definitely watching, have been waiting ever so patiently. Way beyond the ’sci-fi’ tag that people not in the know give it. Beyond the superb acting, the SFX are incredible, best in the biz IMHO. Who is the final Cylon??!!

Don’t worry, Janelle. There have been talks about multiple tv movies as well as the series Caprica which is about life on Caprica before all this crazy shiz went down in the first episode and starts with the creation ot the cylons!
We’ll have mucho BSG goodness to keep us happy when this series ends :D

@Enrico – At first glance maybe, but it leaves so many other questions unanswered. I can’t wait to watch the rest of this series to find them out! Tonight was Grade A Awesome.

I’m most likely in the minority who find this version far too dark & depressing over the original. Yeah, that’s right. I just LOVED the original from the ’70’s. It was campy, silly plots, (some would say) bad acting & mediocre special effects – For me the original was just an hour of fun where I didn’t have to think about things.

So to those of you losing this version, I know how you feel: Felt the same when the original was cancelled, then excited when it was briefly brought back – Hated that it had been “retooled” or “revamped” with different lead actors & a was titled “Galactica 1980″.
