A much healthier-looking Amy Winehouse was spotted frolicking on the beach in St. Lucia (where she has been on holiday for the past week or so) in the company of a cute male friend this week … apparently going head over heels with happiness with sober sanity … behold:

Cavorting on the beach, Amy Winehouse looks brimming with health and vitality. With her clear skin, glossy hair and obvious lust for life, the energetic 25-year-old is a different picture from her previously bedraggled figure suffering from the excesses of London life. As she joined in a game of football with her friends, practiced her handstands and frolicked in the sea, it was clear the Caribbean holiday was doing the singer the world of good. The playful star appeared to have taken on a new sporty persona and seemed to not to have a care in the world, as she enjoyed herself on the beach. Wearing a black bikini top and colourful bottoms, she showed off her new curvier figure, which looked healthier than it had done in years. The 25-year-old singer has been enjoying a holiday away from it all with her friends and family on the island of St. Lucia. She travelled first class to the exotic location with her 12-year-old god-daughter Dionne Bromfield, her mother and a group of other friends. It is obvious the break from her life in London is doing Amy the world of good, as she looked happier than she had for a long time. Along with her bad skin and emaciated figure, she has also ditched her trademark beehive for the vacation.

This has to be the healthiest and happiest I think I’ve ever seen the usually tragic trainwreck. The Caribbean appears to be just what the doctor ordered to help get the girl’s life back in order. I highly approve of this hunky new male friend of hers … he looks like he could be much better for her than her estranged hubby Blake Fielder-Civil. Amy appears to be flourishing far away from the temptations that were destroying her back home in London. I think it’d be totally ace if she just found herself a secluded island to live out her days so that she might live a long and healthy life rather than return to the mainland and succumb to the dangerous behavior that was killing her. This is an Amy Winehouse that I could get used to seeing … she looks so happy, carefree and coherent. It’s a nice look for her, wouldn’t you agree?
