Amy Winehouse & Blake Fielder-Civil Are Dunzo!
Welp … it was bound to happen sooner or later … the fairytale love affair betwixt Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil has finally run its course. Blake, who is currently STILL incarcerated in prison for attempting to pervert justice, has instructed his lawyers to begin divorce proceedings to end his marriage to troubled chanteuse Amy … they are dunzo, y’all!
Jailbird Blake Fielder-Civil has instructed a lawyer to begin divorce proceedings against Amy Winehouse after seeing pictures of the singer cavorting with another man in the Caribbean. Celebrity lawyer Henri Brandman told MailOnline that Blake had instructed him to launch the action on the grounds of Amy’s adultery. It is thought that Blake will go for half of Amy’s £10 million fortune. The move comes as loved-up Amy told a Sunday newspaper that she has finally kicked her drug habit. The star also admitted that she had “forgotten I’m even married” to Blake, claiming “our whole marriage was based on doing drugs”. The Back To Black singer is enjoying an extended Caribbean break on the paradise island of St Lucia and has been photographed kissing and cuddling 21-year-old Josh Bowman. She told the News of the World that she was off drugs for good and that public schoolboy Josh was her new drug. Contrary to earlier reports that she was waiting for Blake to join her on the island, the singer told the newspaper: “I love it here and have never felt so happy. In fact, I don’t think I’m ever going home. Especially as I met Josh here. He couldn’t be more different from my husband, which isn’t a bad thing.” She also branded Blake ‘rubbish in bed’, adding, “Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead”. During her stay at the luxury Le Sport resort in St Lucia, Amy told the newspaper how pictures of her at the height of her drug addiction had ‘horrified’ her. “My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, ‘Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you’ll be dead soon.’ I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything.” Amy and Blake married in May 2007 in a surprise ceremony in the less-than-glamorous Miami-Dade County marriage licence bureau in Florida. The union angered Amy’s parents, Mitch and Janis. A series of setbacks then followed, with Blake being jailed for assault and trial fixing and Amy being filmed allegedly smoking a crack pipe. She has also been in and out of hospital after suffering what her representatives described as allergic reactions to prescription drugs. In December, Blake was sent back to jail – where he remains – having failed a drugs test.
Honestly, I believe that the dissolution of this marriage is prolly the best thing for both of them. They were doomed from the start and would prolly only regress back to their dangerous behavior if they did end up staying together. Amy hasn’t looked this healthy in ages and if her comments are to be taken seriously, then she is finally on the right path to a happy and long life ahead. Irregardless of whether or not she remains involved with hottie Josh Bowman, I think a clean break from Blake is the best way to move forward. Not that I’m trying to sanction his actions but it really looks as if Blake’s life just got ruined by being involved with Amy Winehouse. Sure he made some stupid decisions but had he not been involved with Amy in the first place, I don’t think he’d be in prison now … at least, not for the crimes he’s been committed of. Sadly, news of this divorce is prolly the best news for the both of them.

Wait a minute, “Blake’s life just got ruined by being involved with Amy Winehouse…”?! I thought Blake was on record as having said that he’s the one who introduced Amy to hard drugs? They definitely enabled each other in all kinds of stupid, dangerous behavior but I don’t think it’s fair to pin Blake’s troubles on Amy.

I read the same thing Zanne. I don’t think either one of them is any is in danger of winning citizen of the year ;) but considering Blake introduced Amy to Heroin I’d say he was the catalyst in this whole “mess”.

you know what I’ll be the ONE to say the real truth here. Amy is as messed up and wrong as he is, she cheated on him long before this, everybody knows it, but people give her a pass b/c she is the one with talent. They both suck, and I can’t stand either one of them, At this point Im sick of AMY and Im over her, there have been other UK singers with just as much talent coming out of the woodwork since she fell on her ass, It doesn’t matter who introduced her, most drugs are gateway drungs, Amy was smoking crack as well, she’s was damned either way. Nobody makes anyone else do drugs, it’s a choice, doesn’t matter who introduced her to it, If a partner ask you to partake in drugs you have the voice to say NO. You sound like the folks who keep blaming bobby brown for whitney, as if whitney is a child who can’t make decisions just like every other grown person. You don’t get a pass b/c people like your album, give me a break.

Christy, May 2007 would be over a year of marriage. They’re just a couple months shy of 2 years.
I have to say she does look really healthy, but this article just doesn’t ring true for me for some reason. Maybe I’m just jaded now after finding out that well-known magazines can easily publish completely made up interviews (Cosmo’s Scarlett Johanson’s “interview”) that now everytime I read an interview, I wonder if it actually ever happened.

I think it’s fine to give half to Blake as he has been there from the beginning before she won awards and got famous. Their lifestyle probably added to her Rehab appeal and the public has been fascinated by her heroin chic lifestyle by giving her tons of pap time. She is still wealthy and it’s a small price to pay to move on. She will be free to make tons more with new albums and put all this mess behind her. It’s just money and thank god there are no kids! They loved each other like wild teenagers and now it’s time to grow up and move on. Hopefully Blake will clean himself up too and do something productive.

All of Amy’s family and friends have known than Blake only really married her for her money and she’s finally given in and realized that all their marriage was based on was drugs, so enough is enough.

You know, i used to be the biggest fan of PITNB, but everytime I come here to check out the latest news I can´t help but notice how long it´s takes for you to update nowadays!!! Most of the other blogs are waaay ahead of you, and it sucks, because I really enjoy your comments… but it´s no fun reading something here that I already read somewhere else 2 days before… sorry!

I really don’t wanna get my hopes up about her cleaning her act up, but dumpin the boy (or really the boy dumping her) will be a good step ahead. She’s got get rid of him, he’s all the trouble in her life. He’s the big addict. She’s still got the money and the soul, and if the tabloids are true, she’ll prevail. Yes she can!!
