Single Gal Chelsy Davy Shows Prince Harry What He’s Missin’

Oompa, Loompa, doom-pa-dee-do
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Chelsy Davy, now ex-girlfriend to Prince Harry, was spotted in the company of a few friends at Leeds University this week lookin’ happy, boisterous and frighteningly orange just days after it was announced that SHE broke up with HIM after 5 years together. I’m not sure what the hell is going on here … is it make-up? Is it a fake tan? Is it sweet potato pie? Whatever it is that Chelsy’s got goin’ on on her face … it’s not very attractive:

Chelsy Davy has returned to Leeds University looking decidedly orange days after her split with Prince Harry was announced. The 23-year-old student had applied a deep layer of fake tan – possibly to perk up her complexion following several nights of soul-searching over the collapse of her five-year romance. A bronzed Davy smiled for the cameras after leaving her student house in Leeds to walk to class with a group of friends shortly after 9.30am. Dressed in skintight jeans, tasselled black boots and a leather bomber jacket, she actually looked as if she was going for a night out on the town rather than a day studying law at the city’s university. Her message seemed clear: Life after Harry goes on. The couple split following his decision to throw himself into his new career, training to be an Army Air Corps helicopter pilot. As the Mail revealed yesterday, Zimbabwe-born Miss Davy, currently studying for a post-graduate degree in law, is equally determined to plough ahead with her career. Royal sources say the parting was amicable and the pair will remain friends.

As a new friend to Chelsy, I think it would be ace if Prince Harry rang up his former flame and let her know that she needs to lay off on the orange. In all honesty, it’s going to be very difficult for the poor dear to find someone to date who is more of a catch than an British Royal Prince … and her efforts are not aided by the fact that she looks like a yam. OY!

Jude Law Takes His Kids, ‘Stache Out For Lunch

Keepin' cool in the Big Apple
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Hawt dad Jude Law ventured out in NYC with his youngest children Iris and Rudy this week for a little lunch date in SoHo … here are a few pics of the happy trio as they made their way thru the streets together, hand-in-hand:

As much as I enjoy seeing photos of hawt Jude in various states of undress or all dolled up in his Dr. Watson finery, I think I really prefer seeing picks of Daddy Jude doing daddy duty. He never looks quite as happy as he does when he’s in the company of his children. Totally swoon-worthy, right?

Ricky Martin Takes His Sons Out For A Chilly Stroll

Mr. Mom
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

When last we saw new papa Ricky Martin he was posing on the cover of People En Español magazine introducing his twin sons Matteo and Valentino to the world. Since then, father and sons have been keeping a relatively low profile out of the public eye. At last, the Martin men have surfaced in NYC where they were spied enjoying a brisk winter stroll in Central Park last week:

Despite the frigid temps, Ricky thought it would be nice to bundle up his boys and pack them into a baby stroller to push them around in the cold NYC weather … tho, I’m not sure why. In any event, it appears that Ricky is happily enjoying his new role as single dad. I seem to recall that Ricky was seriously dating some chick a couple of years ago but we don’t hear very much about any love interest in his life these days. I wonder whatever happened to that chick? Since Ricky’s sons were born via gestational surrogacy, I assume the woman who bore the children is not at all involved with Ricky or the twins at all. HMMM. Clearly, Ricky heeded the call of his biological clock and decided to take on fatherhood all on his own. I wonder if he will ever find true, honest love. As wonderful as being a parent is, I’m sure, I hope he is able to be honest with himself and find that special someone to share his life and his new family with.

More From Scarlett Johansson’s ‘D&G’ Make-up Ad Campaign

More blonde, more blush
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Last week we got our first look at the new ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana Cosmetics that features celebrity spokesmodel Scarlett Johansson doing her best Marilyn Monroe. Today, we get to check out the second promo image to come from the ad campaign:

As excited as we were to hear that Dolce & Gabbana is launching a fabulous new makeup collection, we were even more excited to hear that Scarlett Johansson would be the face of the campaign. The blonde beauty was shot by Solve Sundsbo in London, in a series of shots meant to evoke Marilyn Monroe’s iconic beauty.

Of the two photos, I prefer this one over the other one. Scarlett really does have the Marilyn-look down pat … despite the ridic open, pouty mouth and garish red lipstick (in the first photo), I think she looks great in these ads. While I can’t love her with all my heart (mainly because she’s managed to steal away hottie Ryan Reynolds all for herself), I can’t really hate on her in these promo ads … I guess. Which photo do you prefer?

Paris Hilton Likes To Smoke … Stuff

Whatevercoulditbe?
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

You may recall that early last week we saw a few photos of Paris Hilton rockin’ a supercute kitty cat hat on the streets of Park City, UT for the Sundance Film Festival but today, I’ve come upon a few more photos of Paris from that very same day … in these photos, Paris is seen tucked away inside her car (with friends) and she is very obviously smoking … something:

HMMM … now, we know that Paris Hilton isn’t a tobacco cigarette smoker … so I’m a bit perplexed as to what she could be puffin’ on in these pics. A peace pipe, perhaps? Anyone?

California Mother Gives Birth To 8 Babies At Once

Doctors and parents-to-be were expecting only 7
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

While Brangelina might have their hands full taking care of 6 children all at the same time, that ain’t nothin’ compared to the baby work ahead for a new mother in California. Doctors at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Bellflower, CA announced yesterday that they delivered the US’s second set of octuplets Monday from a woman (who wishes to remain anonymous) who was expected to only birth 7 babies. After the 7th baby was delivered, SURPRISE!, doctors found one more little person crammed all up in there. Amazingly, all 8 babies (born 9 weeks early) are doing fine and are breathing on their own … mother is also doing fine:

A woman in California delivered what may be the nation’s second live-born set of octuplets on Monday morning, surprising doctors who expected seven babies. The six boys and two girls — ranging in weight from 1 pound 8 ounces to 3 pounds 4 ounces — were generally doing well in incubators following their Caesarean-section delivery at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Bellflower, California, doctors said. Three of the babies need breathing assistance, but otherwise the eight don’t appear to have serious problems, doctors said at a news conference Monday evening. “It was a truly amazing delivery,” said Dr. Karen Maples, chief of the hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department. Doctors initially believed the mother — whom they did not identify — was pregnant with seven fetuses. The woman was 23 weeks pregnant when she was hospitalized seven weeks ago and ordered to bed rest. Over a seven-week period, a team of 46 physicians, nurses and other staff prepared for the births. When they started the delivery Monday — more than nine weeks before the babies would be full term — they were in for a surprise. “After we got to Baby G, we were surprised by the discovery of a Baby H,” Maples said. Getting the number correct with ultrasounds before delivery is difficult with so many babies, said Dr. Harold Henry, the hospital’s chief of fetal medicine. “It is quite easy to miss a baby when you’re expecting seven,” Henry said. The hospital said the woman didn’t want her personal information released to the news media, and it would not answer questions about whether she’d had fertility treatments. Preliminary research indicates this is the second set of live-born octuplets in the United States, according to the hospital. Eight babies believed to be the United States’ first set of live octuplets were born in Houston, Texas, in 1998. One of the infants died days after birth. The seven other siblings recently celebrated their 10th birthday, the Houston Chronicle reported last month. The first three to seven days will be critical for the California babies, said Dr. Mandhir Gupta, one of the doctors at the news conference. The infants could be in incubators for six to eight weeks and in the hospital for 10 weeks, Gupta said. The mother is doing “very well” after the deliveries, which took about five minutes, Gupta said. “She is very excited that she [has] all these babies and that the babies are looking good so far,” Gupta said.

Altho the mother/family wishes to remain anonymous at this point, I think they should seriously consider going public. With 8 babies to take care of, they’re gonna need some help … and mebbe a TV series? Jon & Kate Plus 8 could use a little competition, I think. At this point, the babies are only known as A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H which (it must be said) are even more odd than even the wackiest celeb baby names. And to clarify, this CNN report states that the babies require breathing assistance but I just heard a report this morning that they have been taken off respirators and are all breathing on their own … which is happy, happy news. Much congrats and love goes out to this family … they’ve got a wee bit more than they had bargained for but I wish them all the love and happiness in the world.

UPDATE: I just found out that the US’s first octuplets born (about 10 years ago) have their own website HERE. LOL!

The Brangelina Bunch Make Their Way To Japan

Ange, Brad, Vivianne, Knox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax and Maddox say 'Konnichiha'
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

After enduring another Awards Show shut-out (with feigned smiling faces and empty applause) this past weekend at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt packed up their children (Vivienne Marcheline, Knox Léon, Shiloh Nouvel, Zahara Marley, Pax Thien and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt) and made their way to Japan where they were greeted by fans at the Narita International Airport earlier today … here are a few photos of the massive family’s grand arrival:

The Jolie-Pitt clan has landed in Japan. Two days after walking the red carpet at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted — with all six of their kids — at Narita International Airport in Tokyo on Tuesday. Jolie was photographed carrying 6-month-old twin Viv, while Pitt held Knox. Maddox, 7, Zahara, 4, Pax, 5, Shiloh, 2 — who walked alongside their parents — don’t mind all the globetrotting, Jolie recently said. “Our kids are always packing,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They like to pack; it’s a game in our house. “It can get very hard trying to find 20 minutes to close your eyes if you’ve been up since four in the morning,” Jolie said. “We travel so much, we never have to adjust. We change school time to four in the afternoon if we have to!” The family is expected to settle in New York’s Long Island in March as Jolie shoots the spy thriller Edwin A. Salt.

OMG … these photos of the Jolie-Pitt twins (who were born on July 12, 2008 … which is, incidentally, my birthday as well ;) are so cute! They really do look very much alike … it’s only the unmatching headwear that discerns them from one another (but how cute is it that Brad and Knox are wearing the same hat?!). It’s not totally clear why the family made their way en masse to the Land of the Rising Son but I suspect they’re not in town to collect any awards … Brangelina appears to have some trouble doing that this awards season. In any event, they all look very happy together. Seeing all of these adorable little chubby cheeks seems a great way to start the day!
