Congratulations goes out to David Beckham and his temporary new soccer team AC Milan on their big win in competitive play this weekend. Becks managed to score his first goal as an AC Milano, which caused much jubilation on his part … it also gave his teammate Clarence Seedorf license to grab Becks’s ass in order to congratulate him — the lucky bastard:

David Beckham and Kaka both scored in AC Milan’s 4-1 win over Bologna Sunday, a result that keeps it in touch with lead pair Juventus and Inter Milan. Elsewhere, AS Roma moved into one of the European qualification spots after a 3-0 win away to Napoli, while Lazio’s own European hopes were hit after a 4-1 loss at home to Cagliari. Juventus lead the league on goal difference, tied with Inter Milan on 43 points, although Inter is playing Sampdoria later on Sunday. Milan are third on 40 points and Genoa fourth with 36. Kaka scored a penalty after 17 minutes and added a long range strike just before halftime and was given a standing ovation by Milan’s fans when substituted 20 minutes before the end. Beckham scored his first goal for Carlo Ancelotti’s side on 60 minutes after being put into space by Pato.

Woot! Congrats, Becks! Well done! While I’m sure a great many of us are seething with jealousy that your teammates have full permission to grab whatever part of your body they like while on the soccer field, I suppose we can kinda live vicariously thru such actions and pretend we’re doing the same. You gotta love how sports guys go straight for the butt when they are congratulating one another on a job well done. HMM. Mebbe I’ve been missing out on a level of male camaraderie in the sports world … we were never this grabby in marching band. Ah well. In any event, congrats and love goes out to our dear David Beckham on his first goal for AC Milan. Again, I say Woot!

Here are a couple pics of a dour-looking Jake Gyllenhaal making his way to his car after doing a bit of unsuccessful shopping at APC in West Hollywood, CA yesterday afternoon. This is the first time in quite some time that we’ve seen Jake out in public without the knit cap that he’s been so fond of wearing in recent weeks (like HERE, HERE and HERE). Could it be that Jake is sad that he had to cut his Prince of Persia hair? Could he be sad that the weather has gotten chilly in SoCal? Could he be sad at the news that Reese Witherspoon was said to have spent a lotta money on new lingerie that he might have to endure?

Reese Witherspoon reportedly spent £656 on lingerie during a recent trip to the UK. The actress picked up the garments at a store which also sells sex toys, while shopping with her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal. A source told More: “She bought two Trudie camisoles for £199 each and two pairs of Trudie shorts at £129 each, in two different colours – blush pink and grey. Reese was lovely, chatty and down to earth, while Jake couldn’t stop smiling.”

Jake couldn’t stop smiling, huh? Uh huh. Well, whatever put that serious face on our dear Jakey poo, I do hope that he cheer up soon. He much to hot to be so growly.

Surprise! I’m in NYC this weekend ;) I decided to fly out to NYC on Friday afternoon to make a surprise appearance at David’s Going Away Party which was held here in the West Village last night. After surprising David, we decided to keep the news quiet so that we could surprise his friends as well … everything went off without a hitch and a grand time was had by all. I took more Polaroids than digital but here are some of the photos that I snapped last night:

David’s bit party was held in the back room at Sweetie Pie, this fab new place on Greenwich Ave. The food and drink was divine (I believe absinthe was had, even) and everyone had a great time saying goodbye to David. I love his friends so much … and I really appreciate that they don’t hate me for taking him away to LA. My time here in NY is short, I fly back to LA in a couple of hours. I know I mentioned many times that I was looking forward to no more flying but I had to make one last exception to be with David for his party.

Next weekend, he flies out to LA to live with me forever :)

David and I are gonna try and meet up with his sisters for a quick brunch before I have to fly back home. Hope your weekend has been fun and full of surprises ;)

Huzzah! And Felicitations! It is time again to feast our eyes on the fabled Hot Dude of the Week … an enterprise that we undertake on a weekly basis in order to feast our eyes on the (usually scantily clad) made form … and this week is no exception. Say hello to Shane:

Baby, it’s cold outside … so what better way to warm the cockles of one’s heart (among the cockles of other parts of one’s anatomy) than with a nice, mostly nekkid dude like Shane. I must say … Shane is quite a big boy … that’s some USDA prime beef right there. With all the work that she must have to undertake in the gym to get this beefy, well, I don’t blame him for showing off a little bit. At least we can enjoy the fruits of his labor as well ;) Enjoy!!

It would seem that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has not eased up on their crusade against Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s love of wearing fur. The twins are protested against by the animal rights group at public events but it appears that that is no longer enough. The twins’ star (along with that of Sharon Stone) on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been defaced with the epithet FUR HAGS! … behold:

Stars of actresses Sharon Stone, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on the Hollywood Walk of Fame have been smudged with the words “FUR HAGS!” by anti-fur campaigners. While Stone’s star, received in November 1995, was smeared with “OLD FUR HAG!”, the actress twins’ shared marker bared the words “FUR HAGS!”, reports the Daily Express. Many other celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Socialite Khloe Kardashian have previously found themselves at the centre of controversies for wearing fur. Activists supporting People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have been on their feet to discourage the use of fur and protest against the torture inflicted on animals under the name of fashion. And it has been commonplace to observe anti-fur demonstrations outside the A-listers’ signings and public appearances.

In addition to referring to the Olsens as Fur Hags, the animal rights group also refers to them as the Trollsen Twins … going so far as to set up a website where folks can play dress up with ghastly cartoon-versions of the girls on the site:

It is NOT absolutely certain that PETA had anything at all to do with the defacement of these stars on the Walk of Fame but, judging by the term FUR HAGS!, it’s likely. At the very least, the grafitti was done by a PETA/animal rights sympathizer … or mebbe just a hater.

Here are a few very cute, very sweet photos of lovebirds Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie. The popstar/actress and meaty hockey player made their way down to enjoy the tropically warm Bahaman islands this weekend and were spied doing a whole lotta canoodling and cooing with one another … can’t you feel the lurve?

You will note in the third pic, Hilary plants a tender kiss on Mike’s hunky chest as they waited for their car to be brought around by the valet. Altogether now, AWWWWWWWWWWWW! They do make a very sweet couple together … it’s so nice to see that they’ve managed to keep things together, without any hint of incident, over the past couple of years. I had my doubts that Hila-rie would stay together for the long haul … but here they are, continuing to long haul ;) It’s not totally clear how long these two will be on vacay together but I hope they’re able to enjoy themselves down there for a while longer. They look happy and so in lurve. Do it up, Hila-rie! Enjoy!!
