The competitive MTV reality TV series Bromance is still a few weeks away from revealing which lucky guy won the big prize of becoming a member of Brody Jenner‘s entourage (along with his very own LA penthouse bachelor pad) but the winner of the competition is already blabbing to anyone who will listen that he is the winner:

While I realize that Britney is gettin’ better by the day (we hope) and is no longer a danger to herself or others (we pray), I must admit that I still get a bit anxious when I see her behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. I’m even more concerned when she’s behind the wheel of such a small motor vehicle. Those tiny cars don’t really do well when the smash into larger, tank-like cars. I’m sure the Department of Motor Vehicles would not give a driver’s license to our dear Britney if they felt she wasn’t a safe driver (after all, they don’t just give those things out to anyone, right?) so I guess there should be no cause for concern … but … welll … I think I’d prefer it if her body guard was the one driving.

I am very happy to report that I have nothing to report. My activities yesterday were pretty much relegated to the seated position, tho there was a bit of snacking here and there. I got a lot of my TV watchin’ accomplished yesterday and settled in to watch the original 1985 Transformers The Movie:

I make time every now and again to watch this amazing animated movie from my youth. I remember that Transformers The Movie was the first video I rented from a mom and pop video rental shop when we got our first VCR. I went with my dad and convinced him to let the video store give me my own rental card that allowed me to rent R-rated movies. It was quite a coup, one that my mother never knew about. Ah … memories. Anyways … truth be told, I still get a little choked up when I watch this movie. It was the first time that I heard swear words in a cartoon (shit, damn it and hell — in decreasing order of intensity) and was the first time I felt pangs of sadness (at the death of Optimus Prime) and validation (when Rodimus Prime defeated Unicron with the Autobot Matrix of Leadership) from an animated film. Yeah. Good times.

Other than that, tho, my day/night was very uneventful. I fell asleep before I could watch Battlestar Galactica (so no spoilers, please) … but I think I’ll save watching the new ep for later. I have more stuff to take care of today. Ah weekend, I do love thee.

This week we have a few submissions from folks who made their way out to Washington DC for President Obama‘s Inauguration or celebrated at home, plus a couple of regular Pink reader pics — Courtney and friend send in a photo in front of the National Capitol building in DC this week — Crystal and her mother from Laredo, TX also attended this week’s inaugural activities … the ladies attended the Texas Black Tie and Boots Ball and were able to be seated close enough to watch President Obama take the oath of office — Susan and Julia send in a pic from the We Are One pre-inaugural concert that was held last Sunday — Megan from Pingree Grove, IL sends in an ADORABLE photo that she snapped on Inauguration Day as her students watched the Presidential Inauguration on TV … the two boys who are the main focus of the pic are second graders at Cambridge Lakes Charter School — Genevieve sends in a pic that she snapped in San Francisco, CA of the Bush St. sign that someone changed to read Obama — Molly from St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN sends in a pic of a few Twin Cities girls from the College of Saint Catherine, the largest all woman’s Catholic college in the US — Diana sends in a pic that she snapped in Vegas for the 2nd Anniversary of her 25th Birthday (she says she’s stopped counting past 25, which I TOTES understand):

While many folks are just now settling back into their work routines after enjoying somewhat extended vacation time over the holidays a few weeks ago, folks like Clive Owen are just now getting around to enjoying some vacay time … and, boy, am I ever grateful. Here are a few pics of hottie Clive maxin’ and relaxin’ on a beach in the Caribbean as he raises the roof and then settles back to soak up the rays:

I love that Clive knows how to accessorize on the beach, he looks great, yes? Clive is one of those subtle sex symbols … you don’t really think about him all that much and then he’ll show up in a film wearing a particularly sharp suit, you’ll hear his accent or you’ll see him half-nekkid on the beach and then PING! it hits you. Clive Owen should spend more time at the beach … here’s hoping his stay in the Caribbean is a nice and long one.

JC Chasez, former member of the currently disbanded boyband N*Sync and pointless judge on the MTV dance competition series America’s Best Dance Crew, was spied doing a bit of working out at a gym in Hollywood, CA yesterday …

… and by the looks of the faces he was makin’ all the while, it appears that he was pretty serious about gettin’ the job done. I suppose it’s a good idea that he keep up with his work out regimen even tho he’s not really being required to show off his physique … I mean, that N*Sync reunion (that you *know* he’s been prayin’ for for the past few years) is bound to come callin’ sometime soon. JC, as I mentioned, is the judge on MTV‘s ABDC who always manages to annoy the hell out of me. He tries to be the “Simon Cowell” of the judges (thereby making Lil’ Mama the much saner but not anymore coherent “Paula Abdul” and Shane Sparks the “Randy Jackson” [without all the yo dawgs]) and fails miserably. His meanness would be bearable if he ever offered any good advice to the competators … but I’m totally digressing. Folks don’t get to hear much from JC anymore so … meh, I guess he’s worth talking about every once-in-a -while. This should tide us over for the next few years, I think.

Last week we learned that the happily married couple made up of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz signed on to make a guest appearance on the hit CBS series CSI: NY. This is the first bit of professional work that Ashlee has signed on for since she gave birth to the couple’s firstborn child Bronx Mowgli last November. The ep that Ashl33n will appear in airs on March 18 … but the couple were spotted the show’s LA street set last night … here are a few pics:

According to sources, the pair will not be playing themselves on this guest appearance. I understand that they will be playing Bonnie & Clyde-like hoodlums who tangle with the CSIs and, undoubtedly, have their evil plans foiled in the end. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Ashlee on TV (has she done any scripted television since her 7th Heaven days?) but Pete guest starred in the latest episode of Privileged (which aired this past week). I’m just relieved that Pete opted out of wearing those hideous boots he was spied wearing earlier this week (you know the boots I’m talking about). Hopefully he’s gotten rid of those fugly things otherwise Hollywood may stop calling ;)
