Momlogic is reporting that Tori Spelling is in “final negotiations” to join her Beverly Hills, 90210 cohorts Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty on The CW hit spin-off 90210 and reprise her career-making role as Donna Martin! As you may recall, Tori was originally supposed to join the cast of the show when it debuted last Fall but reports of in-fighting and outrageous wage demands suggested that a deal was not possible between studio and actress (oh yeah, and there was that little matter of that baby that she gave birth to upsetting filming schedules). Something tells me that Spelling is no longer willing to play hardball and has succumbed to the studios parameters for her return:

According to a well-placed source at the CW, the return of Tori Spelling as Donna Martin the new “90210″s inception is almost a reality. TV Guide adds that it’s pretty much a done deal and that Jason Priestly will direct her return to 90210land:

Tori Spelling is about to sign a deal to reunite with Jennie Garth and Jason Priestley to shoot Donna Martin’s return to 90210, reports TV Guide’s senior editor Will Keck. Priestley will direct Spelling’s debut on the show, currently scheduled to be shot at the end of January. While salary reportedly squashed Tori’s initial plans to return to the show, recent negotiations were storyline-specific. Spelling, whose father Aaron Spelling created the original 90’s series, maintains a deep affinity for the character and only wanted to return if the material met her standards. The CW had hoped to close Spelling’s deal in time for the actress to join her castmates at a party Monday night, but she is currently in Vancouver shooting her second episode of Smallville as a Daily Planet reporter with the ability to melt.

This is awesome news! Last night’s ep of 90210 was pretty awesome … but the whole time I kept thinking about how the show was really missing something — Donna freakin’ Martin! Now that Brenda is going thru her problem, she’s gonna need more than just Kelly to help see her thru it. It’s the perfect time for Donna to return. I really hope that everything with this deal gets squared away properly, once and for all. Then, at last, the holy trinity of Brenda, Kelly and Donna can be whole again! Woot!!

Around Xmas Trent Reznor updated the official Nine Inch Nails website and mentioned that he might have “a small holiday gift” for fans soon … he then updated the site this week with a message alerting fans that he hadn’t forgotten about his promise and that the gift would be revealed soon. The link points to THIS thread in the NIN.com forums that explains in more detail what footage is available. The post suggests that “Novice users might not want to download this just yet” which means that I will not be downloading this 400Gb of raw footage at all. I suspect the more technically inclined NIN fans out there will work their magic and offer up a final product (or products) soon. This is pretty freakin’ amazing … because TR wasn’t allowed by his former record company to release a proper DVD of the Lights in the Sky Tour (which was supposed to be filmed in 3D!!!), this seems like a nice Plan B. I can’t wait to see what will come of this gift to fans.

I just love NeNe. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is my fave version of the series and I cannot WAIT for the new season to begin. The OC Housewives are so irritating and shallow, the NYC Housewives are just comical and ridiculous … but the Atlanta contingent were just really fun to watch. I love me some NeNe and I’m glad to see that she is lookin’ so fine. I find all the speculation about her fortune and whether or not she was evicted from her Atlanta mansion totally hilarious … that’s how you know she is a star. Those of you who are not onboard Team NeNe need to recognize … she’s the total bomb and is a Reality TV personality worth loving. I hope we get to see more of her while we wait for new eps of the series to air.

When last we saw Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon they were sippin’ cocktails on the high seas, toasting the new year (and possibly showing the world Mimi’s unpregsness) but it looks like the vacay is over for Mr. & Mrs. Cannon as they have already made their way back to wet and dreary NYC. Here are a few pics of Mimi and Nick as they made their way out of Japonais last night, stepping into the cold and rainy night:

David tells me that the weather has been cold and rainy ever since I left NYC earlier this week and he has taken ill as a result. I really think the warm, sunny temps here in SoCal would do him wonders … we’ll have to see about getting him to feel better. But I digress … anytime I see pics of Mariah and Nick and I can’t help but look at him as Mimi’s fave accessory of the moment rather than her husband. I mean, I dunno … I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to see them as a married couple … but he does make a really great valet.

Scarlett Johansson is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new Valentine’s Day-themed February issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine lookin’ like a $100 bucks! In her HB coverstory, Scarlett reveals that she and hubby Ryan Reynolds are not planning on spawning anytime soon, talks about her engagement and then goes on to talk about career nonsense. That must mean I’ve been eating way too many bagels or something.” Johansson also opens up about her engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds, whom she wed last September. “I wasn’t surprised that it was happening, but anyone being presented with a beautiful diamond ring, as a girl, you just squeal with delight,” she says. “You say you can’t believe it, but of course, you really can.” Despite getting hitched, she says has no plans to put her career on hold. “Every actor wants to work on a Western,” she says of her dream role. “I would run a brothel, like a madam or something. Man, kids born of the spunk of Ryan Reynolds would be hella cute … I can’t even imagine. I would love for the hawt Canuck to start making babies but I don’t think I mind that the couple are planning to wait a while before they get started on procreating. All in due time, I suppose. Earlier this week we saw a bunch of photos of Michael Phelps and his unruly eyebrows as they partied the night away in Miami Beach, FL and I have to admit … he wasn’t really lookin’ his best. Today we have a new batch of Phelpsie photos (shirtless, this time, which helps) that seek to rectify his unsightliness and replace it with genuine hawtness. Here are a few pics of Phelps playing a bit of beach football with some of his bros in Florida:

I think y’all can agree that he looks HEAPS better in these photos. The shirtlessness helps, as do the sunglasses (to hide the shaggy brows). He looks happy, rested and relaxed … a much better sight to see!

I am happy to report that my appointment in WeHo went very well yesterday but I’m still not at a point to divulge any more info just yet. As I said yesterday, I really don’t want to jinx anything as things continue to move forward in a very positive manner. There are still a few things that need to be ironed out before I want to talk about anything in detail but hopefully I’ll be able to share the news very soon :) Let me assure y’all that things are moving ahead very happily and positively … David and I are not breaking up, quite the contrary — things have never been better. More on what’s going on as soon as possible.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon with Steph and Alek … I dragged them with me to Amoeba Records to pick up a few replacement Nine Inch Nails cds (you may recall my collection suffered a setback a few weeks ago) and then we chilled at their place to watch TV. I got them to order pizza delivery for the first time ever (they’re French and unaccustomed to food delivery) and we had a great time.

This afternoon I have a few errands to run, which are incumbent on my current “project” so I need to make sure I get everything taken care of tout suite! Lots to do but it’s all happy work :)
