Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Another day, another missive from Courtney Love … BUT this time, C. Love ain’t gettin’ her message across by randomly throwing words around and publishing them online on her official My Space profile blog … this time she’s communicating in a much less complicated manner:

Yeah, it’s not as fun as reading her blog but it’s just as Courtney. Hey, where’s that new album you promised us, Court?

Cristiano Ronaldo Hits The Pool In Portugal

The soccer star brings his hotness home
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

When last we saw soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo he was hobbling and lounging about here in SoCal lookin’ extra fried and crispy after soaking up all of the California sun … but these days, the lad has returned to his normal color and to his home town of Funchal in Portugal as he lounged about poolside with his friends and manager Jorge Mendes … behold:

Lord, he looks so much better when he’s not sunburnt to within an inch of his life. Sure, I much prefer when Cris dons the speedos instead of the squarecut shorts but I am not complainin’. You gotta love how the staunchly Catholic Cristiano wouldn’t dream of stripping down to his skivvies without wearing his crucifix … he deffo has a style all his own. Here’s hopin’ Cristiano spends a bit more time on holiday in Funchal … that way, we might be able to see more photos of his hot bod in action.

David Beckham Plays His First Game With AC Milan

The newest Milano in action
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

The freshly tattooed David Beckham made his game debut with his temporary new team AC Milan as they played a match against Hamburg SV in Dubai earlier today. As you may recall, Becks made his way to Dubai last week to begin training (that almost killed him, it seemed) with his new team in preparation for the new European Soccer season which gets underway this month. Here are a few pics of Becks, wearing the black and red of AC Milan, on the fields of play in Dubai during an exhibition game earlier today:

David Beckham had a quiet debut for AC Milan on Tuesday, exiting at halftime before the club beat Hamburg 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw. The former England captain, on a three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, was greeted by a huge ovation before the exhibition match. Playing in a largely defensive role in midfield, Beckham displayed a few good touches with his famous right foot before being replaced by Mathieu Flamini. “Felt just like when I was at (Manchester) United, they had families here sitting with the kids and it brings back memories,” Beckham said. “It was exciting for me. Penalties aren’t the best way to win a game, but I’m glad that we won. AC Milan works very hard and I love working hard.” Ronaldinho gave Milan the lead from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute, but Collin Benjamin scored from close range to tie it five minutes later. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti substituted for Beckham because of a lack of match fitness. “I think 90 minutes would have been too much for him because he hasn’t played for over two months,” Ancelotti said. “Beckham is obviously not playing at his best because of the absence from competitive action, but this last week was very good for him and I’m sure he can be better. “He is tactically a sound player and he plays for the team and was always making himself available during the match.” The 33-year-old Beckham’s one mistake came on a back pass to Paolo Maldini that was intercepted by Hamburg’s Ivica Olic, who had only goalkeeper Dida to beat before being brought down by Maldini. Beckham had a chance to score on a 39th-minute free kick, but his effort was headed away by the Hamburg wall. Mladen Petric of Hamburg missed an unmarked header in the 85th minute.

HMMMMMMMMMM … this sounds exactly like the way things go down when Becks plays here for the LA Galaxy. Lots of cheering and love from the crowd, a lackluster bit of running around on the field and then a quiet exit from the game before the end of play. I suspect it can’t be easy for Becks to just fit right in with a new team immediately but he does seem to need a lot of warm up time before he can actually be of any use to his soccer teams. Even tho this was an exhibition game, I would’ve liked to have seen the soccer stud shine a little more. His family, tho, I’m sure were very impressed with his performance … each member of his immediate family (ie. Victoria Beckham and sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz) were all in attendance at today’s game. After the jump, check out a few pics of the Beckham bunch in the stands in Dubai earlier today …

It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye

The TV Guide
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Sun! Warmth! Sun! Warmth! I’m back home in SoCal and I don’t even know what to do with myself with all of this sun … and warmth! Okay, so the temperature is not quite back up into the normal 70’s range that LA is known for but things are warming up and we should be back in the mid-70’s by the weekend … and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I am very much looking forward to spending a lot of time here in SoCal without having to jet off across the country to the cold Midwest or East Coast. Tho, I am still a bit sad about leaving David’s apartment yesterday:

As I mentioned yesterday, I said my final goodbyes to his amazing apartment and West Village building for good :( I really love that place and I’m gonna miss it immensely. But, somethings have to be left behind in order to move forward … which is exactly what we are doing.

This afternoon, I have a very important meeting in WeHo which, if it goes well, will prove to be another significant change for me … one that I am very excited for. But, I don’t want to jinx anything nor do I want to put the cart before the horse … so, in due time, more deets can be revealed. I’m just happy to be home again … it’s so sunny outside today … I can’t wait to get out there and enjoy it properly! Forward, ho!

Amy Winehouse Hangs With Her Hunk In A Hammock

Alliteration
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Amy Winehouse spent another day in paradise down on the Caribbean isle of St. Lucia in the happy company of her new manhunk yesterday as the couple were spied enjoying one another’s company while lounging together on a hammock. It turns out that this mysterious, yet hawt fella has got a name (Joshua Bowman) … and a few things to say about his new friend Amy:

She is as well known for her shambolic lifestyle as for the undesirable company she keeps. Yet is seems a few weeks in the sun for Amy Winehouse is working wonders for both. The 25-year-old singer of such hits as Rehab has gained some much-needed nourishment on her Caribbean break – and also a healthy looking new boyfriend. The junkie singer, whose drug-addicted husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently in jail for attempting to pervert the course of justice, has started up an unlikely romance with a strapping young public-school educated actor. The pair were pictured in a warm embrace on a Caribbean beach yesterday. Joshua Bowman, 21, has spent the past year busking for work in New York after “wanting to get out of London” following his private education at Wellington College in Berkshire, where boarding fees are £26,000 a year. Mr Bowman, who counts rugby international Danny Cipriani among his friends, said yesterday that he met Miss Winehouse while holidaying on the island of St Lucia. The couple soon struck up a close friendship and will remain there for another week. Mr Bowman said: “She’s just a cool girl, very nice, and we’re just very friendly. She’s a good laugh – she is such a lovely girl and on great form. I can’t say much more than that. I have been having a lovely time relaxing. It’s not been all party-party. I don’t drink much at all as it happens. It’s true to say that I’m a budding young actor. But I’d rather get my name out there because of my acting rather than who I’m being photographed with. I wasn’t waiting until there was a photographer on the beach to put my arm around Amy. I have been living in New York for the past year and have only just arrived back in the UK. I am just auditioning. I love the industry and I let’s see what happened in the future. I haven’t really done too much – just bits for TV but nothing major at all. Just bit parts at the moment. I am definitely not going to bring up as evidence of my acting credentials the shitty stuff that I have done so far.” He added: “I’m not a typical public school boy. I have a very eclectic mix of friends and I don’t like to be pigeonholed like that.” Mr Bowman has spent the past year on the books of a New York acting agency, Gersch, studying method acting at the Lee Strasburg Institute and “networking”.

Well, this Joshua dude has got a lot to say about his new friend Amy … and even more to say about himself. You know what … who the eff cares! He’s hawt and will most likely be the hottest guy that Amy Winehouse will ever be able to enjoy … so she should enjoy away! He is surely a step up from her presently incarcerated husband. I suppose all his chatter about his career does tend to paint his interest in Amy in a bit of a disingenuous light but … what the hell! They’re both on vacay … I say live it up!
