‘Inglourious Basterds’ Premieres In Hollywood

Brangelina hold court in Tinsel Town

Last night Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth and others were joined by family and friends at the Los Angeles premiere of their new film Inglourious Basterds at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. Angelina Jolie held court with Pitt and managed to show-off a few new tattoos on her person. Here are a few pics from last night’s movie premiere:

Angelina Jolie is never anything but slim and toned. But she looked impossibly slender as she joined partner Brad Pitt on the red carpet for the premiere of his new film Inglourious Basterds last night. The 34-year-old actress wore an unforgiving leather mini dress, which clung to her fragile frame as she stood alongside tanned and healthy-looking Brad. Angelina also showed off new additions to her tattoo collection – swirls around the existing body art on her arms. Last night was Brad and Angelina’s first public appearance since they walked the red carpet at Cannes in May. The couple, whose relationship has been the subject of repeated rumours in recent months, made a show of togetherness as they embraced on the red carpet. But while Angelina was greeting everyone with a large Hollywood smile, Brad looked less comfortable. Of course, it may well have been the stress of weeks of heavy promotional duties for his new movie, which have seen him repeatedly away from his family. While Brad was promoting the film Angelina remained at home with Maddox, 8, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 1. But, ever the professional, Brad patiently signed autographs for the huge crowds of fans waiting for him and Angelina. He then led the mother of his six children through the crowd by her arm, his teeth set as he negotiated the busy red carpet.

As you may already be well aware, Inglourious Basterds is the American-Hunting-Nazi film that was directed by Quentin Tarantino and opens in theaters on August 21. Hollywood is really having a field day with all that WWII era Nazi films these days so hopefully this one will be the last … at least for a while. To be honest, my interest level in this film was much higher when it was first announced last October but it has since waned in the past few months. I think the trailers that feature Brad Pitt speaking in that horrid Southern drawl is what has been turning me off. David has mentioned that he is very much interested in seeing this film so we’ll prolly end up seeing it after all. I can’t remember the last Brad Pitt movie that I liked … mebbe this will be the one.

She looks better than she has in a while, but I still think she would look so great w/ an extra 20lbs/.. Yes, I said 20.

  2. nicole

    @Jessica – i completely agree.

  3. DJWhoop

was sarah silverman skipping school to come to this?

  4. Lisa

The accent sounds like the same one he used in Benajmin Button!

  5. HeatherR

Hey Trent, did you like the Curious Case of Benjamin Button?

  6. Lisa

I was just talking about this with my brother a couple of days ago… I like Brad Pitt — when I read or hear interviews he’s done, he sounds like a very cool person — but I really dislike his acting. I want to see this movie, and I really wish he wasn’t in it, I’m afraid he’s going to ruin it for me! I think Fight Club was the last movie of his that I liked….

  7. CHASE

@Trent – you haven’t see ‘Burn After Reading’?! That actually made me a Brad Pitt fan. I wish Angelina would stop wearing black all the time! She definitely needs some color. And maybe his accent is meant to be bad? The film looks kind of weird.

curious case of benjamin button is a great movie. & burn after reading – loved him in that too. fight club is one of my ultimate faves though!
& what is up w/ sarah silverman? i agree — looks like she came from school. jeans? really?

Trent, I promise you this movie is fantastic. I got to see private screening at Comic-Con. It was introduced by Eli Roth and he was so excited! I absoulutely loved it and I’m sure you will too! The Pitt Man is hilarious and the entire look of the film is just beautiful.

Trent, I’m sorry, but you seem to have the worst taste in some movies…you would rather go see a Lindsey Lohan movie than something with content/or originality….Brad Pitt – Legends of the Fall, A River Runs Through It, The Assasination of Jesse James, Babel, Spy Game, Snatch, Fight Club, Seven, Interview with a Vampire…all great films. He is very skilled and thoughtful about his roles, he takes risks – sometimes amazing films, sometimes not.

    • @Christine — Saw Legends of the Fall and A River Runs Through It in a film class, they were OK. Jesse James, Spy Game and Snatch were not good at all. Loved Fight Club, Seven and Interview, as I commented above. What is your point?

  11. cannot wait to see this. diane is looking fierce, as usual.

allison! eli roth does not make ‘beautiful’ films. (maybe he produces them?! cabin fever or hotel, anyone?). eli roth is a douche. we have him to thank for the tortue porn genere. vomit.

  13. Christine

My point was those were all good Brad Pitt Films. I guess we just have to agree to disagree on his films! :)

  14. jj

I love Brad Pitt. I could look at him all day, but he’s overrated as an actor.

Jenn – I agree that Roth’s films might be douchie but personally I think he’s a really nice guy. Met him once very briefly. Very sweet and friendly. Took time out to say hi to everyone who wanted to meet him.
