Back in May we saw photos of Lindsay Lohan on the SoCal set of a photoshoot for Spanish Vogue magazine. At the time, we got to see quite a few shots that were up for contention to be published in Vogue España as well as a few behind the scenes photos that would most deff not be included in the spread. Here is Lindsay‘s coverphoto of Vogue España along with a portion of her coverstory article:

Yes, the article is in Spanish and I have NO IDEA what is says … but the cover of the magazine does refer to L. Lo as “la nueva Marilyn“ — the new Marilyn Monroe and my guess is that is the tone of the article. Nonetheless, the accompanying photospread can be enjoyed by readers of any language. She looks pretty good, I think … still … I’m kinda over her whole fascination with Marilyn Monroe. This is only her latest photospread to channel the late blonde bombshell and, I gotta say, I’m not all that impressed (especially at the pics that make her look like Lady Gaga). I like Lindsay best when she’s Lindsay. The Fornarina pics we saw earlier today were much more fun, I think. Still … she does look nice in these photos. Which set do you prefer?

She looks horrible as a blonde. She will never be anything CLOSE to Marilyn Monroe nor will there be another one even though she’s trying to channel Marilyn. Yes, I’m over it as well. And why does she keep on doing covers? She isn’t really promoting herself except for herself and we all know how that is. Yawn indeed.

The article is not a big deal, it says she´s one of the talented actresses of her generation, and that her life revolves around old Marilyn movies and fashion, and that´s why she studies MM movies and has got into fashion world with her leggins line, her special edition spray tan and maybe, being a sort of adviser to Emanuel Ungaro, which she admires a lot.

I don’t understand why Lindsey is still getting magazine covers and I certainly don’t understand why they keep working this MM angle. She’s not blonde, she doesn’t have the curves or the sex appeal of Ms. Monroe. There is no comparison other than she’ll probably die of an overdose like MM did.
The only acting role she is coming out with that I know of is that movie where she pretends to be pregnant to keep her job for ABC Family channel. The way she’s going I’d be surprised if she made a real comeback in Hollywood. Right now she is just a sad joke to me and the road her little sister is following her on makes the whole thing even sadder.

This is SPAIN’s Vogue, not the US…which is probably how she got the cover, just for being famous. The pictures are nice & nothing special.
