Earlier today, we learned from Heidi Klum that the 6th season of her competitive reality TV series Project Runway is in a place of limbo since legal matters are keeping the show off the air. That said, the 6th season was still filmed and the Finale Fashion Show took place inside The Tent at Bryant Park to close out NY Fashion Week earlier today. Here are a few photos of Heidi and her PR cohorts Nina Garcia, Tim Gunn and Michael Kors at this morning’s Project Runway Season 6 Finale Fashion Show:

What the heck is going on there you two?! HMMM??? Because the show was taped for eventual air (hopefully), the final 3 designers were not allowed to come out on stage to show their faces … their final collections had to do all the talking for them. And so … I’ve selected a few pieces from the show to post behind the cut for those of you interested in taking a peek. After all, who knows how long we’re gonna have to wait to see the show on TV. It’s impossible to know which designs belong to which designer so I don’t think these photos are too spoilery … it just speaks, again, to the real bummer-ness that this 6th season cannot be shown on TV just yet. From the looks of these designs, it looks like the quality of talent is still really high on Project Runway. Here’s hoping we’ll eventually be able to see this talent in action when the show eventually airs on Lifetime … or Bravo … or … wherever.

What the hell is Heidi wearing? I seriously question her stylist’s choices at times and this pink suit is just all wrong. There are however some fabulous creations there…except for the bad leather pants…*hork*
I love PR…it’s my favourite reality show (the only one I watch actually besides Top Design) and can’t wait for the new season to start….if it ever does. And we don’t get it until a while after it’s started in the US, so it’s going to be forever until it gets down here. :(
I love her outfit, although I think the jacket couldve been tailored a bit better for her, and a different shirt worn.
While I am sad – SUPER SAD that we aren’t watching season 6…it may be a blessing for Heidi considering that Barbie doll getup she’s wearing…

It’s such a shame that all this legal-shmeegal crud is holding PR6 off the air. I just love watching that show, and by the looks of it, Season 6 would have been a good one to be watching right about now. Boo Lifetime/Bravo/whoever…just get it fixed!

Hopefully, they can get this sorted out. Whoever the 3 finalists are, they are very talented. The 2 dresses on the right are AMAZING!

you know, this whole time they’ve been talking about the legal debacle I kept thinking, “those poor designers, they finally making to to PR and now no one can see it” and now this, they couldn’t show their faces on the catwalk? I feel so badly for them!
oh, and p.s. Heidi’s outfit = poop sandwich. last year i wanted to put a bobby pin in those ridic bangs and this year i want to bake a pie to bring to her ladies’ afternoon tea social
I’m pretty sure the dead ghost of Rami (oh wait he isn’t dead yet, is he?) has risen from the grave to drape the blue dress seen in the first panel.
Look on the bright side PR fans, when/if S6 ever does air, we can use these Bryant Park pics to try and guess at which designer created them based on the stereotypes they inevitably fall into each season!

I love the top two outfits….meanwhile, I’ll have to remember to wear sunglasses if/when this episode airs, otherwise looking directl at Heidi’s hideously bright oufit might cause permanent damage to my corneas
Project runway is prejudice… I think Amelio should have won hands down. Not because of his color, but because he truly was the best designer throughout the season. I will not watch your show again.
Now I understand why the show is under legal allegations.
