Over the weekend, folks who made their way out to see The Day the Earth Stood Still in theaters were treated to the first viewing of the new trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine which stars Hugh Jackman in the role that made him a superstar. In this X-Men prequel due in theaters next May, we will learn how Logan became the X-Men member known as Wolverine:

Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar – as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. Leading up to the events of X-MEN, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.
Man O Man … this looks so good. I love how it appears that Hugh Jackman has a clause in every movie contract he signs that stipulates that he MUST appear half nekkid and/or wet at least one time per film. Le sigh. After the jump, check out the HD trailer in full …
Yessir … sign me up for this one. Judging by this trailer alone, the film looks great! Liev Schreiber makes a pretty good Sabretooth, I might add. And hello, Gambit! I am really looking forward to this movie. Do y’all like this trailer as much as I do?

We saw the Day the Earth Stood Still yesterday, and this trailer was 1000x better that the movie…
Definitely looking forward to the movie, cause Kevin Durand (Keamy from Lost) is The Blob.
What CAN’T Hugh Jackman do?
I can’t see any wrong with the man.
I’ve been waiting for Gambit to surface. He was always my fave on the cartoon. There’s just something about that accent…
omygah! so excited for this movie.. i friggin love xmen!! sabertooth is siiick and im so happy gambit finally made it into the movies!!
I am really pumped for this movie too!! It look awesome.
I agree with Chic Baker… every time he would talk to Rogue in the comic books and start with the whole “mon cheri” thing I would melt. His whole background as a french thief makes him even more hot hahahaah he was a bad bad boy! Since they started making the xmen movies I was hoping they would include Gambit. Wolverine is still my favourite since I was a 15 year old girl reading comic books to kill time (those were the days!!) but Gambit is right there after Logan. Oh Logan…. so pissed off at the world, such a bad temper… so hot!
Did anyone else see the small, white-haired girl? I think we get to see Storm as a child!
We don’t see him in the trailer, but isn’t Ryan Reynolds in the film as Deadpool. Between him, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schrieber, and Taylor Kitsch (Gambit), movie screen might just melt from the hotness on May 1st!
Where is that dog tag placed?! Let’s hope it’s his chest… or not hope. ;)
You do see Ryan Reynolds… he is in a red shirt playing with swords… the hotness abounds in this movie
yessss x-men=awesome. finally gambit!!
oh holy sweet mother of god that was g.ooooo.d! im with the above. hugh, taylor, ryan… GUH. plus some sexy kevin durand as the blob.. but.. hrm. wonder how sexy he will be AS the blob… meh. i have hugh, taylor, ryan.. ooooh there i go again with the blinding hottness.. yay
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!
And, Trent, every time I got to a Hugh Jackman film, I anticipate him shirtless–I can’t remember if he was in Kate & Leopold, though…regardless, I love him! My friends laugh, because I swear I stop breathing when the shirt comes off. This one will be NO different, because–dayum!–did you see the guns and pecs on him?!?!
Whew!
Seems a little like Highlander…
Seems a little like Highlander
LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Haaaaaa…and there can be only one!!!
Yeah, it showed Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. He’s in the red with the swords near the beginning.
OMG GAMBIT! I fucking LOVE Gambit! Best X-Man EVER!
YES PLEASE! So excited!
OMG, good lord, I’ve been waiting for a US movie with Daniel Henney. **le sigh**
