Here are a few new photos of Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and director Guy Ritchie from the London set of their new movie Sherlock Holmes which has been in production for the past few weeks. I believe this is the first time we’ve seen Rachel in full costume … but it is not the first time we’ve seen Jude lookin’ so goooood. Yeah, that Jude’stache really does things to me ;)

Seriously, I cannot get over how much I like seeing Jude rockin’ the ‘stache. It’s a really good look for him … I fear I won’t be able to focus on anything else when this movie finally hits theaters next year. Rachel looks pretty good in her outfit … methinks she’ll be playing one of those “tough as nails” chicks that don’t take no gumption from any man, whether he be supersleuth or not. I suppose one can forgive Guy Ritchie for being preoccupied with his personal life these days … no matter how much moolah he’s gonna get from Madonna out of their divorce (and you know it’s gonna be a lot no matter what they say — or don’t say), I’m sure he’ll be pleased with the result.

To be honest, I find it really sexist how everyone is calling Guy Richie a Gold Digger.
I mean, what’s the big deal? I don’t see how he can be a gold digger if he was married to her for 8 years. Usually gold diggers only stay with someone 3 months to a few years – if that. I don’t see what the big deal is of him taking some of her money. If he wanted to, he could get a whole lot of her money than what he received/asked for. He could get half of her money. If this whole situation was reversed, say, a girl getting a load sum of money from a guy, no one would hardly care. Sure, the word gold digger would be thrown around but that’s it. I find it wrong how society gets down on a man for taking money from his wife, but if it’s the other way around, hardly anyone cares because as society we’re used to it. No one really hates on K-Fed for taking Britney’s money. I think this whole situation is ridiculous.
Oh, and I am sure Madonna was a difficult woman to live with. I’m sure he wasn’t so easy to live with either. So, all in all, people just need to get over it.
I agree–Rachel looks great!
Trent, if you have time, do read the Sherlock Holmes books (look under Arthur Conan Doyle in Project Gutenberg Australia – the omnibus has everything). You will find it entirely readable in its language style and intriguing. Irene Adler, the character Rachel Mcadams plays, is the only female Holmes has any respect for (she’s always called “The Woman’) and she’s one of the only few who ‘escaped’ his clutches.
Sounds like Sherlock had something freaky-deaky going on
That’s right, Prudie! Irene Adler is the woman that all female Holmes fans want to be. ;-) She’s beautiful, charming, talented, a master of disguise and the only person who has ever outsmarted Sherlock Holmes. I wonder if she’ll be a goodie or a baddie in the film?? I was really annoyed when I read that Guy Ritchie was directing a Holmes movie, but the costumes seem pretty close to the stories. Thank god he’s not in a deerstalker and cape!!
