‘The Hills’: ‘… Like A Bucket Of Worms’
ATTENTION: 'THE HILLS' SPOILER ALERT WARNING

So … last night’s new ep of The Hills was chock full of non-drama and one feisty Nana. Clearly the folks at MTV are really going after the big ratings! Essentially, last night’s ep was all about the fall-out from the contrived drama from last week’s ep (hint: there was no fall-out) and we were all introduced to the Pratt family Nana:

It goes without saying that the Nana bits were far more interesting than the Audrina Patridge bits … mainly because I am totally no longer interested in stomaching Audrina‘s convoluted attempts to make her life seem interesting on TV. After the jump, find out what went down on last night’s ep titled It’s About Trust

No offense to Nana Pratt but I can’t believe garbage like last night’s ep qualifies as television entertainment. If the show has resorted to scrounging up extraneous family members in order to come up with storylines … why bother going forward with a whole new season? The ep started out with Audrina revealing that she “no longer believes” the rumors about Lauren LC Conrad and Justin Bobby hooking up. Shocker!! The whole stupid thing ended with another face to face confrontation where Audrina litterally (and very pitifully, I might add) tried to squeeze out tears to try and gain sympathy from the audience (not from LC, tho, she still seemed adamant that she did nothing wrong in accusing LC of cheating with her on-again/off-again boyfriend). I mean … it was so sadly obvious that Audrina was trying to cry and yet … nothing came out. She needs to take lessons from LC — you cry on cue or don’t even bother. In the end, all’s relatively well between Audrina and LC … I think … actually, that part was unclear … especially after I slipped into a coma from boredom. The other major storyline was all about Nana Pratt — about how Spencer made his sister Stephanie try to feel like dogshizz for never visiting with her and about Stephanie trying to reconnect with Nana Pratt. I mean, we did get a couple of pearls of wisdom from Nana Pratt and we did get to see cute pics of Spencer and Stephanie as little kids but … that’s all we got. THAT’S ALL WE GOT! I don’t even know what else to say.

For me, the best part about last night’s ep was the commercial we got to see for the upcoming new spin-off series The City:

This show deffo needs a reboot. A new city and new bitchy people to get to know seems just what the doctor ordered. I guess we’ll see if the new show can sink or swim on its own … The Hills has succumbed to new lows, I think anything at this point would be an improvement … right?

I don’t even watch it anymore. I read your updates on Tuesdays and by the sounds of it I’m not missing much. I watched about 5 minutes of last week’s episode and I can’t stand how scripted it’s gotten. Yes, it’s always been scripted but at least before the drama was real…not made up non-drama for the sake of the show. MTV needs to realize that no one cares anymore. Once the stars became “celebrities” in real life, I stopped caring about their fake lives on this show because everyone knows no one it is true.

    I liked seeing the nana…
the best was on the aftershow when Spencer and Heidi called in and said their Nana was the biggest Hills pimp and would wear a hills sweatshirt around and talk up everyone and convince them that the hills is the best show on TV!

For sake of fair argument, their lives can’t be eventful all the time. It’s better to draw on other aspects of their lives than to create false storylines. It will get better, the Speidi wedding will be a great episode!

I haven’t watched the ep from last night yet. But just from the previews…Good Lord…Spencer cannot really be that disrespectful of his sister. You know he and Heidi can talk all the BS they want about family loyalty, but they don’t give the respect to EARN the loyalty.

As for Audrina…I am SO tired of listening to her whine about JB. She made a bitch out of herself and it’s gonna take time to get people back in your corner….

I feel really bad for Audrina. I honestly think that this whole “rumor” and drama was scripted, but I don’t think she was let in on the secret. She looks honestly upset by the whole thing. And Lauren… geesh! The world DOES revolve around her… I don’t see how she made this all about her. I just don’t think I like her.

I’m personally more annoyed with LC than anyone else. The only reason The Hills has to dig so deep into the meaningless lives of Whitney/Audrina/Speidi/Holly is because LC – the show’s supposed protagonist – is dating a real celebrity who isn’t ‘on the show.’ And Lo also has a bf outside of the show. The Hills is no longer following LC’s real life so they are fabricating drama with the ‘supporting actors.’ So lame. They need to just admit the fact that they are all celebrities now and follow their REAL lives. Till that day comes, I’m over it.

LOL – “you cry on cue or don’t even bother”

i loved how Nana Pratt fully admitted she had a favourite grandchild.

  10. Katt says:

the city looks like it will be awesome!

The Hills needs Less forced drama, wait..less CRAP, and More Shirtless Brody! ;)

  12. Dana says:

Audrina just posted another blog…and she is “STILL” not taking responsibility for what she put in motion!!! This girl has problems! Lauren definetly needs to get rid of her!

  13. diana says:

Jo, you couldn’t have said it better!! There is never anything new with Lauren because her boyfriend basically can’t be on T.V. Trent, watch out, I read somewhere today in some interview that Audrina would like to follow her own path, perhaps a show with her and her “real friends” is how she put it. Zzzzzz…

  14. Bess says:

Audrina is so vapid. I think she’s a little “slow.”
    The City looks so good!

  15. Sassy K says:

My favourite was when everyone shows up to Nana Pratt’s place and she opens the door and says “What a surprise!”….no Nana, it’s not a surprise. There’s a camera crew in your living room.

  16. Sarah says:

lol Sassy K… i think the only good thing about the show now IS Brody… wtf aren’t him and Lauren together again?!?!?!

  17. Sassy — LOL is right! I thought the exact same thing and forgot to mention it … so funny :)

  18. Phil says:

i had no problem with the episode,

    TEAM NANA!!

  19. cherish says:

Grandmas should never have a favorite. Spencer totally made Stephanie feel like shit for not going over there often, but he shouldn’t rub it in her face! If their grandmother has digital cable, I think we would be shocked to see her “favorite” being such a douchebag.

  20. taylor says:

LC has made it clear this is just a job for her. When she is done with school she’s planning on having a career that is not ‘on camera’. People like Audrina and Heidi only want to be on camera. They are using this to catapult into something else. LC is one smart cookie. She’s happy to cash the checks and mark the days until this is over and she has her privacy back.
