‘The Hills’: Dunzo!
So … last night was the Season 4 finale of The Hills which, because of the revelation of the fakeness of the Speidi wedding, turned out to be much ado about nothing. The big hype surrounding the ep was supposed to be centered around the official legalization of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s marriage but since that didn’t happen, well … there ain’t much else to tell:
Since it has already been revealed that Speidi are not married, there really aren’t any spoilers left to disclose. Instead, here are a few pics from The Hills Finale party that took place in NYC last night in celebration of last night’s ep:
Other than the wedding that never took place, there was some bit of drama in last night’s ep. Lauren LC Conrad and Heidi Montag finally came face-to-face and shared a moment together. In light of all the staged bullshizz thruout the season, tho, I couldn’t buy one second of it. LC and Heidi are kinda cool with one another then they’re not … who the eff knows. At this point, the whole show is SO contrived that I don’t even want to be bothered any more … sad but true :( Trust me, it pains me to even admit this … I really love the show. The nonsense between Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby and that pitiful ring … seriously, kill me now. I can’t even take any more. I did like, however, how Spencer paused right before he was to say his vows and give a speech about how he can’t go thru with the wedding. That shit was funny … I had to rewind so I could laugh again. Speidi really are masters of their own destiny … they do things their way and are shameless about it. On that account, they should be commended. I just fear that the shtick has long gotten old and they won’t be able to peddle their wares for much longer.
But anyways … here are a few pics of The Hills folk on the red carpet last night:
The End. At this point, I’m pretty sure I won’t be reacapping Season 5 when it debuts next year. I’m just over it. That MTV won’t even try and make the show believable at all is really insulting … I don’t know that I can take it anymore. I’ll deffo be watching The City … and I’ll prolly still watch The Hills but … it just doesn’t seem like a fun show anymore. I guess we’ll see what happens the new season airs … but at this point, I’m ready to say Peace the Spork Out! It’s kinda like what LC said about Heidi, I only know how to love the show and I only know how to hate the show. It was fun while it lasted.

LC looks great! Whitney looks like a hippey wannabe with that shiz in her hair. I stopped watching this show about half way through the season. I can’t handle it anymore! I will always love LC and relish what we once had but I have moved on and I am so happy you are too Trent!! SPEIDI SUCKS!!!

I really liked the show too until about the time Spencer showed up on the scene. Even after that I still watched but this season really didn’t hold my interest. I couldn’t make it through one full episode.
I am torn about Lauren’s look. On one hand I like it, but maybe more in the spring or summer. On the other hand, it makes her look a little ‘mature’.
Whitney reminds me of Phoebe from Friends in that get-up.

I love LC’s body language, pulling away from Whitney as if it made a difference. Actually, it’s probably for the best. Whitney seems to have more class than the rest from what I gathered, and I don’t even watch the show. But the hair thing? Ummm, no.

I definitely agree with Nikki! Gossip girl is where it’s at! The Hills is so lame now. LC was hardly in the episode at all, and everything else was SO boring. I got on my computer everytime JB and Audrina, or Speidi showed up.

i can’t believe I’m saying this but (if its her) Stephanie looks amazing in her dress(from that far away shot.) The best out of all of them IMHO….CRAZY!!

I attended the Finale party last night… and I just want it to be known, that Heidi and Spencer are the nicest of the entire cast of The Hills
they took tons of pictures during the commericial breaks, even disobeying the producers, Heidi continued to greet the fans… They are officially my favorite.. Lauren Conrad is a bitch

i really really loved audrinas dress! it was super cute and festive for the holiday season! as for whitney, what the hell was she wearing on her head?!?!? and i have thought the entire time spencer looks like someone familiar but couldnt put my finger on it…until this morning…he looks like a monchichi. you know one of those monkey looing dolls from the 70’s and 80’s!!!

Audrina looks like she is holding in a massive dump in that red carpet picture. & WTF is Whitney wearing on her head? Neither she or Lauren Conrad will EVER be fashionistas…they both just follow the trends like everyone else. With that said, I still watch this stupid show whenever I can catch it. It just sucks that there is not even a semblance of reality involved. I hate to say it but Spencer & Heidi might be my favorite because I think they know they are a joke & are just milking it for all the money it is worth. The others take themselves too seriously.

@geana – Ha! I appreciate the reference but srsly, monchichi’s are WAY cuter than Spencer could ever hope to be.
@Phil – interesting comment… I too thought that Heidi seemed the nicest or most sincere or whatever of all of them.
Audrina’s dress looked good on her, but she’s such a tool that even a lovely attribute such as decent fashion is completely mitigated by her seemingly empty head.
Whitney looked like a member of the Sonny & Cher Show fanclub. And, her new friend Olivia from The City has the same glazed-over eyes as Paris Hilton. Not only that, but in the clip they showed of The City, Olivia said she was 18 at her ‘deb ball’ but then a minute or so later she said she was 17 at her ‘deb ball’. WTF? What kinda girl is unclear on her own age at her own debutante ball? I guess Audrina’s not the only tool.
Oh, and for the first time ever I actually thought Justin Bobby looked very cute in the scene where he was laying his head on the pillow and talking to Audrina in their hotel room the night after he spit out a ring and put it on her finger.

I didnt even bother watching this season….last night’s show i did watch since i happened to be at home but it FELT SO FAKE. it felt so foooorced all show…it was like a abd sopa opera :/

I agree with you 100%… I used to love the show, it was one of my favorites and now it is so scripted and horribly fake. I’ll probably take a chance at watching The City but I don’t think it is going to be much better. Sorry The Hills…I AM SO OVER YOU!

Hey Phil, did it ever dawn on you that not ‘everybody’ is nice all the time? You make the assumption that Lauren is a bitch when you don’t even know her. Speidi are so contrived and phoney (imo) the pubes on Spence’s face make me sick and Heidi’s voice….don’t even get me started. Remember, this show is supposed to be about Lauren not Speidi…Not everybody has a great life, even mine is boring from time to time so get over it

I agree, its ridiculously fake now. I would love to see Gossip Girl recaps though, those would be way more interesting than Hills recaps :)

agreed. the show never had any merit to begin with, and now that it has completely lost its entertainment value, it’s entirely worthless to me. as much of a guilty pleasure as it has been watching vapid, upper class white girls complain about petty problems, i think its time that the hills be done.
also, i think these girls have gotten famous enough that they are now being followed by paparazzi and real reporters in addition to MTV. the show was always fake (as will be the city), but now i can’t even pretend that what i see is real when magazines contradict what I see on the show!
trent, i think i’m more disappointed to see your recaps go than i am with the hills going, er, downhill. those were the highlights of my week! please recap another show! whatever happened to your recaps anyway? we used to get them from you all the time! methinks you need to watch more TV!

I’ve been wondering how the hell Whitney could end up in the position she’s in – hired on at D.F. or even what she was doing before – while dressing like she does. The girl seems sweet, but her style is AWFUL! The best I’ve ever seen her look is bland, but usually she’s sporting some really awkward shit- I just don’t get it…

the dress and headpiece Whitney is wearing is from the Spring/Summer ‘09 line of DVF (the company she’s now working for). I’m not defending the outfit, you either like it or you don’t, but the way she is dressed is an exact representation of the company she now works for.

I guess I’m the only one that likes Whitney’s look. It made everyone look at her that’s for sure. Audrina looks like she’s had some work done…she’s starting to look a lot like a brunette Heidi. Also, I don’t watch the show anymore but loved reading the recaps and Trents thoughts on the whole thing…but oh well. I’m totally in for Gossip Girl! :)

I agree Trent, I am definitely over this show, although really I haven’t watched much this season… I was already over it at the end of the last season when you would see something that was taped months ago and already knew the outcome. And what the eff is up with those outfits last night? Seriously… the 70s called they want their look back. For a couple of girls who are trying to make thier way in the fashion world they definitely looked fugly as hell last night. I hope Diane Von Furstenberg bitch slaps Whitney when she goes into the office for wearing that God-awful-straight-outta-1979-wedding THING on her head!

I’d be ok with how completely fake the show is if MTV and all involved would be more honest and up front about it. That they still try to sell it as *reality* IS quite insulting. All the crap with the wedding and Spencer’s “sudden change of heart” was ridiculous.
