While I will admit thast he gave a once-in-a-lifetime perfoprmance of the Joker, it's not really a role I would think of when thinking of these awards. So many before him have played that part (I'm partial to Jack Nickolson's myself) and no one thought to pay attention. I'm truely sorry he is no longer with us because he was a fine actor but I don't think this is a role he would have been nominated for if he were alive. I understand people don't want to forget him but giving away awards should be for those who gave the performances that deserve them. Again he did a fine job but it was a freaking Batman movie! My questrion is whether or not the people doing the nominating would have thought of him had he not passed away. I've always been such a fan of hers b/c she is a talented actress and just seems like a really cool person with a good head on her shoulders.
