Slumdog Millionaire is AMAZING!!!! Everyone should go see this movie if they haven’t already. I haven’t seen a movie this good in years. It really makes you think and captivates you. I am buying it the minute it comes out. Also planning on getting the book it was based on – Q&A.

I am absolutely thrilled that Kate Winslet got two nominations! I really hope she wins one of them. Leonardo got a nomination too which I’m very pleased about!!! Brad Pitt has two of his movies nominated in the major categories and I am glad that he’s nominated as well. He got a best actor nom and Angelina got a best actress nom. How nice for them!

Milk got way snubbed! So far I think that is by far the best movie of the year!! And I agree that Emile Hirsch was amazing in it. So was Josh Brolin!!! In fact, the entire cast. It should win best picture and Gus Van Sant should win best director as far as I’m concerned, and they didn’t even get nominated!? I’m glad Anne Hathaway was nominated for Rachel Getting Married, and I think that movie deserves more nominations as well! It was my favorite of the year until I saw Milk. The Dark Knight should definitely not be nominated for best picture, but Heath Ledger was amazing. These noms make me excited to see Slumdog Millionaire and Happy-Go-Lucky.

Dark Knight=good, not great. Christian Bale’s voice is annoying. He sounds seriously constipated. Jack Nicholson was by far the best Joker..xoxo to Heath but it’s not the same. Just like if they cast M Fox or A Jolie as Catwoman–Michelle Pfeiffer was and will always be unmatched as her. What about Michael Urie (Marc) from Ugly Betty as The Riddler? Someone brought this up..interesting.

Dexter & 30 Rock FTW. it frustrates me that The Dark Knight and Milk are up for so many of the same awards, they are both AMAZING movies on their own merit, and they both deserve special recognition, imo.

I agree on Emile, but I have not seen Milk yet! Emile is fantastic…no MILK for best film? SF is not going to be happy with that. I think Frank Langella might beat Sean Penn for Best Actor when Oscar comes calling. I don’t see Brad winning for Benjamin. Kate W needs her Oscar..it’s about time!

Ive heard of one of the best Drama movies. And as far as I know, it hasnt even been released.

NO amazing movies have come out this year, so they’re reaching as far as they can so they dont have to admit even the heads of the Golden Globes (and academy awards) went as the Joker this year for Halloween.

I could understand certain movies, but this is just making them look moronic. It isnt cool to NOT like the goddamn Batman
