Naomi Watts & Baby Samuel Kai Released From The Hospital

Meet the newest member of the Watts-Shreiber family
December 23rd, 2008

Proud mama Naomi Watts and her newborn son Samuel Kai, who was born into the world a little over a week ago, were released from the hospital this morning and daddy Liev Shreiber was on hand to bring baby and mama home. Here are a couple pics of the happy parentals carefully navigating the bitter cold, snow and ice in order to safely load their newborn bundle of joy into their car:

The couple were very careful to keep little Samuel Kai covered up as much as possible so that the little guy could be shielded from the cold temps as best they could … that is, until they put the little guy in his car seat. After the jump, check out the first photo of Samuel Kai as he says hello to the big, bad world for the first time …

AWWWW, ain’t he a doll ;) You can’t really tell much from this pic … other than the fact that he’s got two eyes and a cute nose. As private as this couple tends to be, this might be the only good look of the baby that we’ll be gettin’ for a while. In any event, congrats again go out to the happy couple on the birth of their second baby boy. It looks like another celeb family will be enjoying a Happy Xmas together this year!

They were certainly in hospital longer that normal. Unless she had a c-section…I was in hospital for 7 days after mine. Also, I can’t believe the hospital allowed them to carry the baby out to the car. Down here in Australia they make you take your baby out to the car in a capsule or pram. You’re not allowed to carry the baby out in case you fall or drop it and then sue the hospital.
