The most underrated album of the year is Little Jackie: The Stoop.
Such a shame, it’s completely perfect. Urge everyone to check it out.

I add votes for: MGMT, Goldfrapp(7th Tree) and Cold Copy: In Ghost Colours (album of the year).

Throw in Ladyhawke, Air France, Los Campesinos, Portishead and The Mae Shi.

Madonna’s album wasn’t her greatest, and even Britney’s “Circus” was great, but it’s no match for “Blackout.” Dragonette’s debut album was pop perfection, Jesse McCartney’s comeback as a more beat-based, sedutive, young Justin Timberlake. We’ve found a brand-new, original, different, fun artist – Lady Gaga. There’s also some things I hope to be looking forward to in 2009. A new record by Lily Allen, hopefully Goldfrapp will get back into the studio, Christina Aguilera’s new album, and who knows? Britney might even get back to recording to give her comeback even more fuel. Whatever happens, 2009 will for sure be a better year for music.

Santogold seems to be on everyone’s Top Album list. She deserves it, and is so much better than M.I.A. Congrats.

Kings of Leon DEFINITELY must be added to this list. Every song on their new album kicks ass. Also, My Morning Jacket is brilliant. I’m Amazed is the best song on the album. Don’t miss out on this one!

I agree Tobes. Pink’s album is amazing. I also love Santogold, Adele, Duffy and Brandy. Brandy’s album is fierce. It’s great to see her back on the music scene again.

I’m kinda surprised that P!nk never gets much credit on here. she’s pretty bad-ass! Her latest album is by far the most lyrically complex she’s ever done, and has SO many great songs on it. I suggest that those of you who haven’t checked it out… give it a whirl. It’s a GREAT album. And definitely with more artist cred (and not just performer cred) than Beyonce or Brit, not that I don’t love them both.
