Matt Dillon Busted!
It looks like Charles Barkley ain’t the only celeb spending some of the last hours of 2008 in police custody after being arrested. Matt Dillon got popped by the po po last night after he was clocked driving at 106mph in a 65mph zone while rocketing thru Vermont on Interstate 91. I guess when you’re busted going 41 miles over the speed limit in Vermont, you have to get mugshotted:
Vermont State Police say actor Matt Dillon has been cited for speeding on an interstate highway. Dillon was charged with excessive speed after he was pulled over by a trooper on Interstate 91 in Newbury on Tuesday night. The 44-year-old actor was allegedly traveling at a speed of 106 miles per hour. The posted speed limit is 65 miles per hour. Dillon is set to appear in court on Jan. 21.
Er, well, on the plus side … he wasn’t drunk driving. That is not to say that speeding is any less dangerous than drunk driving but I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all engaged in a little bit of speeding from time to time. I can’t say that I’ve never felt the need to go 40+ miles over the speed limit but mebbe Dillon had someplace to be, like, really quickly. There are still a little over 12 hours left of 2008 here in the US … plenty of time for another celeb to get in one last arrest before we get to 2009.

there’s no way anyone is going to tell me that the state troopers did not ask him for an autograph wife, daughters, lol, too bad vermont couldn’t just cite him and let him on his way, since he obviously wasn’t arrested for dui, hang in there matt and by the way, i couldn’t look that good on my best day never mind a mug shot
