Mariah Carey Drinks Booze On Holiday
As one of the final toasts to 2008 (and perhaps to put those pregnancy rumors to rest once and for all … or just for now), Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon were snapped enjoying a couple glasses of vino as they supped on raw oysters on their Caribbean holiday this week … booze + raw fish = no bun in the oven:
Mariah Carey is still not pregnant. The singer was spotted sipping red wine and eating oysters — no-nos when expecting — in St. Barts on Tuesday. Carey also showed off her bikini bod as she toasted wine with her husband Nick Cannon at hot spot Nikki Beach. But kids could still be in the couple’s future. “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad [than Cannon],” she said earlier this year. After their surprise April wedding, Cannon’s half-brother told Us Cannon “definitely wants kids” with Carey.
MMM HMMM … no babies yet but that doesn’t mean they won’t come. I suspect if the couple manage to stay hitched for at least a year then the baby bump might finally come. In the meantime, it looks like Mimi and Nick are just concerned with gettin’ their party on without concerning themselves with stretch marks and morning sickness. Mebbe once Nick reaches puberty the couple can seriously discuss a future with children.

My Sister in Laws OB told her that red wine (maybe once a week?) is a good way to help relax when your pregnant. so her having a glass could mean nothing?

Ummm, I think if you talked to most OBGYN’s they will discourage you from drinking ANY alcohol when you’re pregnant, much less one glass a week. That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was staged. Celebrities love to play these little games with the media…then act irritated when the paparazzi won’t leave them alone!

he seriously told her to. i talked to some other people and they heard the same thing. it has to be red wine, nothing else. only a small glass. but i think you have to be atleast in the 2nd trimester. its something to do with easing labour.

I just had my son this past August and my OB also said red wine was ok in moderation during pregnancy (and even now while I’m breastfeeding). A glass every now and then isn’t going to hurt after the first trimester.. just as long as you aren’t downing a bottle every night. So it may not be such a clear indication that she’s not preggers.

Don’t think many people know but drinking alcohol actually isn’t dangerous when you’re pregnant!!!
Maybe excessive amounts and alcohol like vodka isn’t too good but wine, red wine especially is meant to be okay to drink whist you’re pregnant.

Mmmm Hmmm… have you EVER heard of fetal ALCOHOL syndrome??? Guess how a baby gets that? Because mommy drank while she was pregnant. Wine is alcohol, so it’s equally as bad as vodka. It is true that a few sips (as in like 1/3 the amount MiMi has) every blue moon in your second or third trimester won’t cause fetal alcohol syndrome… but to be on the safe side… just don’t do it at all!
Now, I don’t think Mariah is preggers… she just lost weight recently… maybe she’s having a hard time keeping it off. Maybe it’s just a little flubber, not a little baby.

Many doctors say a glass of red wine is fine when pregnant, it could also be grape juice. Mimi is always spouting how she only drinks champagne so why the switch, esp on vaca, if she is neot pregs?? huh huh tell me tell me!!
