Jennifer Aniston Does ‘GQ’ Magazine
Jennifer Aniston is featured on the cover of the new issue of GQ magazine and, what’s this?, the lass opted out of wearing any clothing on this new magazine cover. Well, that’s not entirely true … she did wear a men’s tie — but that’s it. Here is Jen’s hot new GQ coverphoto and some portions of her coverstory interview with the mag:

Talk about your revealing interviews. Jennifer Aniston puts on a necktie and leaves the rest in the hamper for a provocative GQ cover and sassy interview that addresses rumors about John Mayer. “I am not having his baby. And I have not popped the question,” the actress, 39, tells January’s GQ (on stands Dec. 23). Aniston also pokes fun at her recent swipe at Angelina Jolie. “The funny thing is, people don’t realize we all go away to The Hamptons on the weekends,” jokes Aniston. “That’d be hysterical: I’ve got Zahara on my hip, and Knox …” As for her feelings about Mayer, 31, she says, “Honestly, did not know much about him before I met him. I’d heard … you know, uh ‘Your Body’ – that song. But what I can say is that I had no idea what an extraordinary musician he is. And it’s just great to sit and be witness to that. It’s kind of like, Whoa!” Aniston’s currently working on a film called Pumas, which she calls “sort of a female Wedding Crashers” about two “aspiring cougars.” “It is so a comment on the sexual double standard, and what’s been ironic is how hard it’s been to get this movie made,” she says. “Studios want it, but they are afraid of Middle America. They’d want to change it; they’re saying, ‘Oh, you can’t do that, people just can’t imagine you …” It’s part of what she sees as a disturbing problem in Hollywood. “Look, I think all women on some level just want to rage against the machine,” she says. “There are too many movies out there that don’t empower women, movies in which their only way of being happy is finding a man. And you know, that’s not my favorite theme.”
Yeah, no question … Jen looks effing’ amazing on this cover. Now, how much of her perfection is due to digital manipulation remains to be seen but this is deffo her hottest magazine cover ever. You also gotta love her cheeky remarks about hanging out with the Brangelina brood … but, one thing’s for sure, I don’t think that little Princess Zahara would be cool with hanging out on Jennifer Aniston’s hip — no way! I love that she’s being especially candid about John Mayer in these new interviews … for a woman who guards her privacy so much, it’s refreshing to hear her open up some on a personal level. But, when she talks about lamenting that there aren’t many films in Hollywood that empower women in a men’s magazine where she appears on the cover 99% nekkid seems a bit counterproductive. Personally, I don’t necessarily equate empowerment with nudity … especially on the cover mens’ magazines … but that’s just me. I can’t hate her for this cover tho … she looks amazing. If this is her idea of empowerment, then so be it. IMHO, I think a woman in a nice pantsuit (mebbe taking an oath of office) seems more empowering to me.

Thanks for posting this! I love Jennifer and I think she looks amazing. Good for her.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:16 am
maybe she figured the tie would be enough business wear to drive home that point????
December 11th, 2008 at 9:31 am
WOW….don’t even know what to say. She’s done some risque covers in the past..ie her butt on Rolling Stone. This one is clearly to sell..Jen is so cute, but I don’t think this is classy. Still, rather see J An than Angelina!
December 11th, 2008 at 9:34 am
I think that even if she’s naked, Jen is less provocative than, let’s say, meghan fox and her boobs… she’s not sucking some dirty lollipop at least
December 11th, 2008 at 9:35 am
I love this girl! She rocks. She seems so down to earth and real. I think she looks SO HAWT!! Keep it up Jen!! I loves you and can’t wait to see Pumas. It sounds hysterical.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:42 am
Wow. That is a hot pic. Go Jen!
December 11th, 2008 at 9:45 am
She looks great.
TAKE THAT, MORTICIA.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I couldn’t agree with you more, Trent.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:49 am
Put some clothes on, brad is not going to go back to you.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:55 am
Why would she want Brad back? give me a fucking break.
Why have an old dried up tortoise like Brad instead of a young hot stud like John.
Brad is so zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
December 11th, 2008 at 10:00 am
well think about it this way trent, men on covers with no clothes are “oo hes hot I bet he’s really cool too” a woman on the cover becomes “oh well how old is she? over 30??? ew thats gross” or “hmm I’d hit it…oh theres an interview? eh she probably has nothing to say.”
I applaud her for going on a cover and just being proud of herself.
And to all who says shes complaining and talking about the past: ITS BECAUSE SHE NEVER TALKED ABOUT IT BEFORE. she gave herself time to really make a solid opinion on what happened to her marriage. Thats why her comments are so great…they are thought out.
No one complains that Brad and Ange need to STOP TALKING ABOUT THEIR LOVE….so why should she shut her mouth and be the little chump?
December 11th, 2008 at 10:02 am
I love it! She’s 39 and in the best shape/health of her life. I find that inspiring. I hope I can look half as lean and fit as she does when I’m that age. It’s great to see pics of beautiful women over the age of 35 still looking sexy on magazine covers. I just wish someone would put the pics of Helen Mirren in her red bathing suit on a magazine cover. Talk about older women looking amazing and hot- she showed how it’s done.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:08 am
DAYUMMMMMM! Girl looks gooooood.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:13 am
I never really thought that she would lower herself so much as to bring this whole mess back up again for the sake of publicity for what’s ultimately a very silly movie. I thought she had handled herself quite well when it actually happened, why ruin the whole thing now with all these remarks? The “considering the source” comment she made about Angelina for example? Doesn’t do HER any good except making her look bitter and resentful. It just seems sad to me that she has felt that she had to bring this issue to attention in all the interviews she’s done recently to stay relevant. LEARN TO TAKE THE HIGH ROAD JEN! You were doing well.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:14 am
I don’t understand why every time there is a pic posted of Jen, Brad gets brought up and vice versa… they are not together any more…. brad did not do anything wrong… and Jennifer is HAPPY! Enough.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:14 am
I like how she’s just a normal woman..no strange or crazy past (ie blood vials, knife collecting)..i have no issues with being quirky or ‘interesting’ like A Jo is but Jen is just simple and it’s refreshing. It’s annoying that a woman’s age is always the focus..if a man poses like this, no one says one word. End sexism and ageism for women!
December 11th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Outstanding pic! but………..every interview now? e-v-e-r-y?
December 11th, 2008 at 10:17 am
BUILT A BRIDGE AND GET THE FUCK OVER IT JEN
December 11th, 2008 at 10:19 am
dammmnnnnn when i get to be her age…i want her body lol. i love Jen, always have always will.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:20 am
avi i actually prefered it when angie jo was a bit crazy, this saint mortyicia image isn’t working out for me.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:59 am
She’s promoting a children’s movie right now. Does anyone else think it’s weird that she’s doing that with the kinds of interviews that have been happening. Here she’s naked. She’s been cursing up a storm.
I don’t know, something doesn’t feel right.
December 11th, 2008 at 11:01 am
why would she need to wear a pantsuit to feel empowered? she looks incredible, and she seems healthy, happy, and confident. if I look like that when I’m 39 you will totally find me posing nekky on the cover of a men’s mag!
December 11th, 2008 at 11:04 am
I think she’s gone to desperate measures to get some attention… I thought she wanted less publicity.. I gotta admit, she does look good for being 40?
December 11th, 2008 at 11:08 am
I don’t like this woman, and I’m proudly Team Jolie, but that said: Jenny A is looking RIGHT in this picture.
December 11th, 2008 at 11:23 am
I agree Trent. I do not equate female empowerment with posing nude on the cover of a men’s magazine. It just furthers the idea that women are sex objects.
I’m all for women being proud and confident with their bodies–and yes, women can draw a sense of empowerment from that. However, this is neither art, nor fashion, nor anything else productive. She’s just posing nude for a silly men’s mag while promoting a movie.
I’m not impressed.
December 11th, 2008 at 11:41 am
Shaaawing!
She’s so fabulous, the girl can do no wrong in my eyes. I have to agree with Joce.
December 11th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
I have to say that I do think it’s empowering. Anytime anyone sees a women-over a certain age-nude, people are stunned. How old is she? Why is she doing THAT? It’s great to see a women who is a little bit older and proud of her own body. I don’t think ‘empowering’ is limited to artistic shots; it’s putting a smile on and loving yourself that helps others do the same.
As far as objectification, I believe that anyone who poses for a magazine at all-whether it’s a male or female, is objectifying themselves to airbrushing, lighting, make up, et cetera. I agree with F, at least she’s not sucking a lollipop or in some raunchy pose.
December 11th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
She looks so hot. WAY hotter than angelina with her veiny pin thin arms and legs.
December 11th, 2008 at 12:27 pm
Word!
i agree with you TRENT
December 11th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Joce – Agreed! Society doesn’t judge a shirtless or sexy man as much as a semi-naked/naked or sexy woman.
I don’t necessarily equate nudity with empowerment, but at the same time, I don’t think it’s automatically disempowering either. If she likes to be naked, then go for it. She likes her body and that’s awesome.
I don’t think it’s hypocritical of her to complain about the disempowerment of females in films. There ARE NOT enough films with strong women.
December 11th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Trent… i think you’re an ass in this post. Who cares – Jen’s just showing off that she’s still got it.
You woo and awe over that whore named Angelina all the time who caused all that crap between Brad and Jen… so once Jen comes out a bit about it (not even in that much detail) you start saying she’s taking the low road. lame. She atleast didn’t go out in public and cry over it like say… Britney Spears and her whole mental break down after Kfed. Yeah there was kids involved but any marriage splitting up can be a devastating one.
Anyways i like the new Jen, more open and comfortable with herself and hot as hell! I think that John Mayer do some good on her!
December 11th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
Oh and I don’t think this picture is airbrushed at all – they would have brushed out the little tummy wrinkle/dimple.
December 11th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
This cover is empowering for her because it is symbolic of her new approach with the press – of her being more open about very private times in her life that the press won’t stop asking about. I’m sure disclosing info about your private life with the world can make someone feel as vulnerable as being naked so this cover and her recent interviews just says HERE WORLD YOU WANTED ME NAKED, RAW, UNCUT – HERE I AM!
December 11th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
Trent, you are sooooooo right on!
I really want to root for Jennifer—I REALLY do, but stuff like this just….blah, no…
December 11th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
mikie, EVERYTHING is airbrushed nowadays.
December 11th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
hate how her hands look like t-rex hands.
December 12th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
So to feel empowered as a woman she should dress like a man? uhh no.
December 12th, 2008 at 10:20 pm
Why does a pantsuit feel more empowering? I completely disagree with that comment… it’s like a woman can only be empowered by dressing as a man… why can’t a woman be strong in a dress? Or be in charge of her sexuality, like Aniston is doing? It’s not like GQ is a men’s magazine in the Playboy sense, it’s meant to display a hint of class… and Aniston definitely portrays complete control of herself.
Usually I adore your commentary but that just bothered me a little.
December 13th, 2008 at 3:54 am
‘Y’ above took the words right out of my mouth.
December 13th, 2008 at 9:15 am
My comment was in reference to Hilary, an elected official, not about her dressing like a man. I’m sorry you saw sexism in my comment.
December 13th, 2008 at 9:48 am
i expected this photoshoot from …hmmm.. Sienna MIller… in her twenties. Granted, Jen looks good, but… she didnt need this spread to promote a “family” movie.
Also, she really couldnt talk about “empowering women” and the whole lot… I look at Jen, and i just cant see it. She’s had played out the woe-is-me bit too much that the image is stuck to her (which is why she is now doing spreads like this and interviews where she drops the f’s bomb and such- to erase the woe-girl-next-door image)
how about instead of talking about empowering women and worse, by getting naked, learn from other empowering actresses such as Reese, Salma, Nicole, Angie, Drew — these women are also actresses who learned to balance work, their humanitarian efforts, their lives. especially Angie, she does it, she walks the walk and talks the talk…still her family is her priority.
like i said on my other post, finding balance and living – that’s empowering…

Women look powerful in pantsuits.
