I find this very sad. Shocking in fact. I hope, if the rumors of Marc being controlling are true, that she gets out. She is an amazing business woman and entertainer. She has supported herself and can continue to do so even with children. Women need to see her say, “No!” to being controlled if that is truly the reason the marriage is rocky.

Who gives a shit if they break up? i hate when people act like celebrities are their personal friends just because they watch their movies or listen to their music. They’re just a couple of people, we don’t know them, so why give a shit. Personally i just read the story because i find it amusing if J-Lo is going through hell because she has always come across like a stuck up diva, so maybe it’s a little karma biting her in her big fat ass for once :)

I’m always baffled when new parents split up. Everyone having a kid should *know* that having a baby means your relationship is gonna change. The first year is hard on a marriage/relationship, so you go in knowing that it’ll be tough and pledge to yourself that you’ll stick it out for at least that first year. And they have twins – that’s tons of work, no sleep and always placing them first (year 1, anyway). Suck it up and put in the work, guys!

He and his ex-wife renewed their vows just before separating. I wonder if that is something he tries as a last ditch effort to rekindle a relationship? Since he and Jennifer just renewed their vows in October perhaps something is off course a bit with the two of them. How sad that celebrities have to have everything they do scrutinized by people like myself and others. I think it would drive me crazy to be famous.

i like jlo but oh myy marc’s ex wife dayanara is so gorgeous! how does he get these women? he looks like a living dead body! i hope they try to work things out if something IS going on for the sake of their kids; it’s not just about them anymore! and wedding rings? my parents stopped wearing their wedding rings after 2 to 3 years because they didnt want it to be ruined and mom gained weight after giving birth, and they were just fine.

I always thought that they made perfect sense. I think they actually dated a long time ago, before she became super famous because she appeared in one of his videos, back in like 1998. They did get married milliseconds after each other’s splits, but they’ve kept a relatively low profile, and even when they had projects to promote, it wasn’t the media overkill that it was when she was with Puffy or Ben Affleck.
And BTW, that pic is a promo pic for their movie “El Cantante” a biopic about salsa singer Hector Lavoe, that takes place in the 70s, hence their looks.

Well, if it turns out that Marc was controlling JLo, then she’s soooooo not the woman I thought she was, and that totally proves that she is a product of others and not of her own making…which is what she tried to get us to believe. She honestly can’t blame Marc for her bad acting. That is her own doing. She can’t blame Marc for her horrendous singing; that’s all her.

I actually thought these 2 were going to make it. They were friends for the longest time. Their families liked each other. They come from the same background, humble beginnings. Yeah, the whole quickie Marc/Dayanare divorce and a week later, it’s the Marc/JLo marriage was a little disgusting, but he’d carried a torch for her forever! She just seems really high maintenance, and–no matter how pretty you are and how great your body is–that’s a lot for a man to take. (The quote “this is my life now? I’m a Long Island housewife” says it all…she needs waaaaaaaay too much attention–remember Beaches and CC Bloom?) Do you really think that Marc would think a chandelier in the baby’s room was necessary? Marc’s always been the most humble man. THAT was the part that I didn’t understand about their relationship, because the impression I’ve had is that she’s so the opposite! She was in it for the applause; he was in it for the work.

Omar, in tough economic times people like to break from the reality of loosing money in the stock market or job hunting with trivial distractions. Don’t be a jerk and remind people of the economy on a gossip site, go to a financial discussion board for that. I hope she doesn’t get divorced. That would suck but I am sure she would be totally fine and bounce back. This is JLo we are talking about. I am sure the babies would be fine.
