GyllenSpoon Take Their Boring Love Affair To Ojai, CA
Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon made their way up to Ojai, CA this weekend to spend part of their holiday vacay together and away from the hustle and bustle of the big city … and while the couple were carrying on in their very boring manner, they managed to randomly run into fellow celeb Robert Downey, Jr. and his wife who were also hangin’ out in Ojai at the same time. Here are a few pics from GyllenSpoon’s raucous weekend getaway:
Santa must’ve brought someone new sneakers this Christmas! Just after the holiday, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were geared up and power walking the hills in Ojai, near Witherspoon’s farm getaway. The couple’s surprise dates? Gyllenhaal’s Zodiac costar Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan. “It was cute, they were all wearing hiking gear,” says a source, “They seemed really relaxed. There were no kids around and they seemed like they were having a great time.” Not to fear, the couple brought Jake’s dog and also squeezed in time to engage in another trademark routine: grabbing a morning cup of coffee together.
OMG could these two be MORE boring? Seriously, if they slipped into a coma I’m not even sure anyone would even notice. I’m just STUNNED that someone as hawt as Jake Gyllenhaal could be wasted on such a snoozefest of a relationship. No offense to Reese Witherspoon, who I really do like, but she just doesn’t seem like the right person for him. They already act like an old married couple … and they’re neither old nor married. I really hope these two either jazz things up in the new year or move on to sunnier pastures. I really love me some Jakey poo but … trying to find anything interesting to talk about his relationship with Reese is just … zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

They are boring, I suppose, but I’d prefer them to be boring rather than some media-grabbing whore of a couple. I like them together. They make a pretty couple. And plus Jake never seemed like the party type of guy anyway.

They’re a committed couple who act their age and aren’t falling down drunk in public or having wardrobe malfunctions. And? There’s a difference between being happy and being boring. I think they’re adorable together and wish them nothing but even more happiness. It’s nice to see a stable ADULT relationship in Hollywood.

I’m with you, Trent. #1 Why are there photographers at their “rural” retreat? Too planned. #2 Why would you want to be photo’d hiking and shopping? Too boring.

What in the world would you possibly want them to do?! We have enough Speidis, Britneys and other nut jobs. Just because someone seems to be in a healthy, balanced relationship and so is not contributing to the dirt rag industry, they must now be brought down to everyone else’s level?! Give me a break! I think they make a great couple. They try to be as normal as possible. Yes these pictures may not be anything entertaining, but that’s the paparazzi taking pics of anyone at anytime… And I agree with everyone else here…what the hell do you want them to do? I like that they try to be low key and out of the limelight

They suck together. Really they are my absolute least favorite celebrity couple ever. They bring out the total LOSER in each other.
They remind me of the really nerdy people in high school who manage to get into a relationship together and then they are everywhere in matching outfits, calling each other parents mom and dad, and eating lunch together by themselves every day.

“Boring”? You mean you want them to be “interesting”? (i.e., ugly problems tearing them apart? So we can tear them down?) What did either one of them do to you? I don’t get this kind of attitude…you want them to be miserable? Is happiness boring to you? Or just other people’s happiness? They’re damned if they do, and damned if they don’t. um Thomas, if you don’t like Trent’s blog than get to steppin. This is not at all like Perez, Trent is entilted to his opinions. Im sure there are couples you don’t care for, don’t act like you are perfect. If you don’t prefer someone’s personal opinion you don’t have to make a comment, you can read it and leave. Perez publicly outs peoiple and tries to make the celebs miserable, it’s fun for him. Trent is low key and above all of that, he just reports it as he sees it. Totally disagree. They are adorable together and I hope they last.
Its refreshing to see two smart, young, good looking actors together (who don’t have a bunch of diva stories, naked photos, or rehab stints). While that might not make them fun to blog about, it makes them much more relatable and likable IMO.

I love Reese, I love Jake, and I love them together. The fact that they don’t look very exciting in paparazzi actually makes them more ideal to me because they’re not flashy. They seem very down-to-earth, and there’s nothing wrong with that. My boyfriend and I would likely look the same way in paparazzi photos, and our relationship isn’t boring to us. It’s just the way we want it to be. So if Gyllenspoon’s relationship isn’t boring to them, it doesn’t matter to them what other people think about it.

I like them. I think they’re just trying to lead a “normal” life. Both of them spend enormous amounts of time on movie sets and traveling for films so it must be a relief to spend time w/ each other just enjoying the little stuff together like having breakfast & yes even hiking ;)

I am curious to know what you want to see, Trent. This isn’t a reality show. I guess they could do a hot make out session. Her ten year old daughter and the kids’ school friends and their families would love to pick up a tabloid or see it plastered in the supermarkets. I guess she could flash some ass or a boob here and there like some of the “regular” girls who are right around Jake’s age. Maybe we need to see them falling down drunk or puking on the curb? How about a hot session of PDAs on the beach with both of they in bikinis?
Damn! All we get is two people walking down the street. Two people drinking coffee or tea. Two people who seem pretty calm and happy most of the time, and pretty wrapped up in one another doing normal things. Maybe when they are behind closed doors, they…(gasp!) …have sex????

i live by OJAI CA its just above me in the mountains i am below it. i live in SANTA PAULA CA. ojai is nice! very clean and well kept. but VERY uptight and boring. alot of rich people and hippies like environmentalist also new age people, theres a witches wiccan church up there for pagans as well as many celebs live there like ted danson and his wife as well as larry hagman from dallas. Also drew barrymore goes up there alot. i have friends in ojai so you see celebs all the time. like i said nice place small but very boring…well to ME it is! its located in Venutra county.

i meant “Ventura county” last comment. sorry typo hehe. if your ever up there or go to there you have to pass thru a bad area of ventura city thru the freeway called “the avenue” that place is ghetto and is dangerous at night. otherswise you have to go thru santa paula where i am fromto get to ojai thru a windey high mountain to get there, and let me tell you! that mountain is HIGH and WINDEY i mean its scary!, more so at night! also ojai has its own little area not all rich one is called oakview where alot of white trash live. ojai has alot of skinheads not a good place to go if your not white so far i havent heard any news of any skinhead bashings but there is alot up there in that area.
