Brrrrrrrrrr
Welp, I made it to Detroit … and, let me tell you, it’s cold y’all! While it’s really nice to be home again, I am so not in the mood for all of this freezingness. Do y’all realize it’s warmer in Iceland than it is in Detroit right now? Yeah, Reykjavik is gonna seem like the tropics compared to my time here in Michigan. Yesterday’s travels went very smoothly … after getting freaked out by warnings by the news, I got to LAX over 2 hours early for my flight only to find the place dead empty. No lines, no delays … I mean, I’m very glad that I had no problems getting home but I wouldn’t have minded more time at home before getting to the airport. My flight home was just over 3 hours … but because it was a red eye, I didn’t get any sleep at all … I had to crash out as soon as I got to Sarah and Mark’s place. Here is what the street looks like today:

Yeah, we are deffo having a White Xmas this year. Goss has been kinda light these past few days … and I suspect it’s gonna get even lighter in the week to come. This is always the slowest part of the year … all the celebs are well-behaved and away on holiday. I’ll be treating tomorrow and Xmas Day like weekend days, so while I’ll deffo be working … the posts will be shorter. Additionally, I’ll be working up some year-end wrap up posts so we can look back and remember the year that was. I sincerely hope you are warm wherever in the world you are right now …

Having a white Xmas in Chicagoland as well (and not looking forward to my commute back home!). Glad you made it safely – have a wonderful holiday and visit with family and friends!

Yeahhhh!! I go to Chicago on Saturday and can’t wait for the snow!!! Arizona doesn’t really have to much of it unless you are up north in the mnts!

Despite the frigidness, I’m sure it feels really good to be home. There’s something about ‘going home’ for the holidays that feels unlike anything else we do in our lives. I sincerely hope you, and anyone else on here who goes home for the holidays, truly enjoys themselves and slows down enough to enjoy the company of others and forget about all the other ’stuff’ that goes on around us, even if for a short while.
That said, I’m quite looking forward to your lists of fave music & movies (and pop culture moments?) from 2008. I love year-end lists! (yes, I know, I’m a total geek).

I’m in Detroit too and I have to say, the only plus to the snow is the hilarious pictures I’m getting of my husky in the snow. It comes up to her neck and she just tears through it. That, and the sledding is pretty good.
Happy Holidays!

Yeah, here in Ypsilanti Michigan, it’s 23 degrees but with wind chill feels like 13. So I am DEFINITELY not warm.

The first time I went to the UK, almost two years ago, it was 50 to 60 degrees and all I needed was a light leather jacket or a hoodie. When I got back home there was snow and ice everywhere. This was in January, in Oklahoma. Sure it’s cold then, but it’s not supposed to be THAT cold! Certainly not 30 degrees colder than ENGLAND.

Enjoy Detroit. If you get a chance check out Angelina Bistro in grand circus park. My bro’s the chef.

I’d LOVE to have a white christmas! I live in New Zealand so christmas is summery and wonderfully warm, but almost too hot at times. Supposed to be 27 degrees (celcius) tomorrow, so a trip to the beach will definitely be on the cards!

In Livonia, yeah it’s cold alright. It went to -1 degrees two nights ago and I believe right now there’s freezing rain.

I’m with ya Tracy! I’m awfully envious Trent, there’s no white Christmas for me in my hometown right now. It’s been pretty cold..in the teens at night but go figure the temps shooting up to 50 degrees for Eve and Christmas Day. And naturally, with a temperature that warm it will rain rain rain. I’d love to have a White Christmas but alas I don’t think it’ll happen. But there’s always Christmas miracles, right?!
