Here are a few red carpet photos of Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe down under on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour, Australia last night (today?) for a Calvin Klein promo event that she hosted. Rabbie were on hand for the launch of the Calvin Klein Spring ’09 Collection proving that the couple that promos together, stays together. The New York Post is reporting that the couple will remain in Oz thru the holidays so that Ryan can meet Abbie‘s family:

RYAN Phillippe has gone Down Under for Christmas and New Year’s. He landed in Australia on Sunday with his love, Abbie Cornish, whom he met on the set of “Stop-Loss” while he was still married to Reese Witherspoon. They’ll be on Cockatoo Island for a … party today before heading to Lochinvar to meet Cornish’s extended family. It’s the first time Phillippe, who spent Thanksgiving with Cornish and his children, Deacon and Ava, in the US, has been to Australia. His kids will be with Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal in LA and Tennessee.
HMMM … sounds like things are getting pret-ty serious for these two. It’s a big step to meet the extended family … it’s an even bigger step to meet them over the holidays. Rabbie is showing no signs of slowing down … to me, it looks like the couple are on the path to marriagehood. Irregardless of what you think about how the couple got together, I suppose it’s a good thing that they are so committed to one another and they look like they’re gonna be together for a long time. Tho, that’s what I thought about the Witherppe marriage and, well … yeah. In any event, here’s hoping the happy couple enjoys their time down in Australia and that Ryan won’t have to face any awkward questions about how he and Abbie ended up together. Ah, don’tcha just love the holidays?

Hoping for the best for Abbie and Ryan. But this is a love message out for Trent. Lov ya! Always depend on you not to send the hate.
i feel like ryan downgraded and reese upgraded
Hahaha oh Trent, I love the word Irregardless. It’s fetch.
Irregardless is a word like ain’t is a word. It’s baseless and improper English; however, enough people have used it that it ends up being recognized.
It is incorrect english, and you are a semi journalist! Since you make most of the rest of your sentences in a nice, complete manner, I’ll have to ignore the irregardless (oh, it pains me to type not once but TWICE!). ;)
I forgot Phillippe existed until this article!
My SO has recently taken up saying “irregardless” to get my goat.
You can just use the real word “regardless,” and get the same point across.
It’s Trent’s blog–he has a right to use whatever word he chooses. Anyway, pretty shady how all these celebrity couples that end their marriage to be with someone else they met on the set of their new movie..
I never noticed the color of her eyes before, they are very pretty.
Just remember, Abbie…if he’ll do it WITH you, he’ll do it TO you.
