Beware! Britney Spears is back to drivin’, y’all. Altho the girl has made major strides in turning her life around, I have to confess that I’m still a bit anxious to think of our dear Britney behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. It’s not even that I don’t trust her … she just seems to have really bad car karma … like, for serious. But, nonetheless, she’s back to driving … here are a few pics of Brit Brit as she drove with a friend to the Alley Cat Dance Studio last night where she was reportedly auditioning dancers for her upcoming tour. Life & Style magazine reports that altho Wade Robson was on hand to choreograph and help stage her most recent string of live performances, he will NOT be on hand to work on her 2009 tour The Circus starring Britney Spears:

Britney Spears is moving on from longtime choreographers Wade Robson and Andre Fuentes, the duo who successfully launched the pop star’s comeback with appearances in Europe and Japan and on U.S. TV, Life & Style has learned. “Wade and Andre were only hired to choreograph the promotional tour for Circus, which ended in Japan last week,” an insider tells Life & Style. Wade directed Brit’s dance moves for her first big U.S. tour in 1999, and Andre has worked with Britney since her 1998 L’Oréal Hair Zone Mall Tour. There’s no word yet who will replace the pair. But we’re sure Brit will have somebody on board soon!
HMM … I was actually very surprised to learn that Britney was teaming up with Wade again, especially considering the history the two of them share (it is rumored that Britney cheated with Wade while she was still dating Justin Timberlake and that is why the pop stars broke up). I say, a fresh start is the best way to go. Wade Robson may be a great choreographer but there are a lot of really great choreographers out there for Britney to choose from. She needs someone who is going to challenger her and come up with wicked hot routines that will thrill the audiences that are dying to see her back on stage. I hope that Brit’s people take their time and choose wisely … her comeback tour has to be stellar. Looks like I blogged too soon, it turns out that choreographer Jamie King has been selected to be the tour director for The Circus starring Britney Spears. He previously directed Britney’s Oops … I Did It Again Tour, Xtina Aguilera’s Back to Basics Tour and, most recently, Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour. Sounds like Brit Brit is in good hands :)
Oh and regarding Britney driving again … well, let’s just say I’m glad that I’ll be away from SoCal for the next couple of weeks. That should be plenty of time for Britters to get in some driving practice so that I can return to the hopefully safe streets of LA in January ;)
